Sara’s Garden Studio Hi, I’m Carmen! 🤎 The hands behind Sara’s Garden Studio. Made with love, from my hands to your home!
(1)

I create hand-poured candles, scented wax melts and wax floral arrangements in my little Doncaster studio.

23/10/2026

This weekend, a few little boxes of my wax melts will be sitting among all the lovely produce at Owston Grange Farm, waiting to be taken home 🤎

I like imagining where they’ll end up. Perhaps in a kitchen after the Sunday dinner has been cleared away, or in a cosy living room while someone settles down with a cup of tea. Something I’ve poured and packed with my own hands becoming a small part of someone else’s home.

The farm shop is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so if you’re passing, pop in for a browse. There’s plenty to discover, and every little purchase means something to the people behind these small businesses 🍂

My five autumn wax melt scents are there for you while I’m busy getting the next chapter of Sara’s Garden Studio ready. Next week, I’ll finally be able to show you what’s been keeping my hands busy and my mind awake!

For now, thank you for making room for a little of my handmade work in your homes 🤎

My wax melts have found their first little home at Owston Grange Farm Shop 🤎

While I’m getting everything ready to officially open Sara’s Garden Studio, this is the first place you can find my handmade wax melts in person. Seeing them on display, ready for you to take home, feels quite special.

There are five autumn scents to choose from 🍂
• English Oak & Hazelnut
• Hot Baked Apple Pie
• Cinnamon, Oatmeal Milk & Honey
• Warming Cashmere
• Pumpkin Spice Latte

Each one is hand-poured in small batches using rapeseed and coconut wax. You might notice a little frosting, like a pale, crystalline finish that can naturally appear on these waxes. It doesn’t affect their fragrance or how they melt, and is simply part of their handmade character.

Owston Grange Farm has a lovely shop, and I’d love you to pop in, have a look around and give them a warm welcome. You’ll find my little autumn collection waiting for you too.

Thank you to Owston Grange Farm for making room for my small business, and to everyone supporting local businesses. Every purchase, recommendation and shared post means so much to the people behind them.

Somewhere between making plans and wondering whether I can actually make them happen, I found myself holding these three little cards.

Remember why you started. Make yourself proud. Don’t be afraid to dream big.

I think I needed those reminders more than I realised. It’s easy to get caught up in everything that needs doing and forget that, once, even the things I’m doing now were just ideas I wasn’t sure I could pull off.

Sara’s Garden Studio means so much to me, which is probably why every new step comes with a little overthinking.

I want it to work. I want to look at what I’ve made and let myself feel proud, without immediately thinking about what I should do better.

So I’m trying to listen to these little reminders, even on the days when my confidence doesn’t quite match my plans.

There’s a little more to this picture than I’m ready to share just yet… but I wanted you to have a tiny peek 🤎

Just a little bit more of waiting…

Tonight I asked ChatGPT a little question: “If I were a candle, what would I look like and what fragrance would I be?” 🤍

This was the answer… a cream ceramic jar, willow-green details, and a scent of pear, cashmere, oak and vanilla.

Just an imaginary candle for now, but I’m a little tempted to bring it to life!

If you were a candle, what would your fragrance be?

Some things are worth waiting for… 🤎

And somewhere along the way, a little dream I’ve carried with me has started becoming something real.

I’m not quite ready to show you everything just yet, but behind the scenes, something very special is taking shape.

A new chapter for Sara’s Garden Studio is coming, just couple of days more…

And I can’t wait to share it with you. 🤎

When we moved, I packed away my candle-making things without knowing exactly when, or where, I would unpack them again.

I’ve missed making, trying new scents and having a little space where I can get lost in something I love. Finding somewhere to start again has taken longer than I hoped, and there have been moments when I’ve felt quite discouraged.

But I think a little corner for Sara’s Garden Studio might finally be waiting for me… 🤍

There are still things to work out, so I’m keeping a few details to myself for now. But I wanted to share this little bit of hope with you.

More details soon ❤️

Two years of Sara’s Garden Studio🤍🍂🤎

Two years ago, I started a little adventure called Sara’s Garden Studio. Today, I’m celebrating its second birthday, with a heart full of gratitude and so many ideas for what comes next. 🤍

This anniversary finds us in a new place. In August, my family and I moved from Essex to South Yorkshire, bringing our life, our dreams and my little candle business along with us.

These past two months have been about settling into our new home, finding our feet and making room for a new chapter. Sara’s Garden has been taking a little pause while we do that, but my creative mind has been busy!

I’m so excited to get back to making, fill the room with beautiful fragrances and share the things I’ve been dreaming up. I will be back very soon, and it feels lovely to have that to look forward to.

Looking back over these two years, my favourite part is knowing that something I made has found a place in your homes. Every order, recommendation and lovely message has meant so much to the person behind this page, which is me. 🤍

To everyone who supported me in Essex, and everyone getting to know Sara’s Garden here in Doncaster: thank you for being part of the story!

Happy second birthday, Sara’s Garden Studio! Here’s to new beginnings, cosy moments and plenty more making. 🎂🕯️

A slow start, in my favourite season, in a new place… with a new story to tell. 🍂🤎

I’ve missed making the simple things that give me a moment to myself and something to feel proud of.

I’m still finding my way here, so I’m taking it gently. But it feels good to have this little part of me back.

To everyone who supported me before the move, and everyone finding me here in our new corner of the world: thank you. It means so much to have you along. 🤎

For the first time in a long time, I finally feel like I can breathe.

These past few months have been full of decisions, uncertainty, packing boxes, saying difficult goodbyes, and hoping that this move would be the fresh start our little family needed. My husband and I have been a team through every step of this journey. When one of us felt overwhelmed, the other kept going.

Now we’re here. Watching the sunrise from our new home with a warm cup of coffee in my hands, I’m feeling incredibly grateful.

I want to give myself permission to simply be present. To unpack. To make this house our home. To help my little one settle into her new adventure. To find inspiration again without rushing.

I’ll be back towards the end of September, ready for my favourite season of all : 🍁 Autumn 🍂

Sometimes, creating beautiful things begins with living beautiful moments first.

Thank you 🤍

I am writing this while waiting for a drop-in session following an autism diagnosis, while also learning how to cope with and understand my own neurodiversity.

And perhaps that explains this decision better than anything else.

I have decided to close this chapter of my business.

Not pause it with a neat little plan, not rebrand it for the 47th time, and not pretend I already know what comes next. This time, I am simply allowing myself to stop, breathe and not have all the answers.

Living with neurodiversity in my own mind and within our family, is a lot to hold. It can be beautiful, creative and full of ideas… but it can also feel like having 38 browser tabs open, music playing from somewhere, and absolutely no idea which tab is making the noise.

Right now I want life to feel simpler, I need that!

I want to give myself the space to understand what I genuinely want to create and what I truly want to offer from my mind, my heart and my own two hands. Not because I feel I should keep going, but because one day it may feel right again.

Perhaps this business will return in another form. Perhaps it will have a new name, a clearer purpose or a completely different story. Or perhaps it will simply remain a beautiful chapter that taught me more than I ever expected.

Right now, I do not know, and surprisingly, I am learning to be okay with that. Slightly uncomfortable, naturally… because my brain would very much prefer a complete five-year plan, colour-coded and laminated.

It is not the end, it is me choosing to listen to myself, protect my energy and leave room for whatever comes next.

Thank you for staying with me through every idea, every change of direction and every chapter! Your support has meant more than you will ever know. 🤍
