Please everyone do your research on this. This is a massive proposal in area rich in wildlife. It’s home to many protected species and bats. The token mention of nature reserves is a joke. To destroy the habitat that is already there. The U.K. is one of the most wildlife depleted countries. You can see from the ecology report about the number of bats who roost on this site! The lighting will destroy this habitat. Why replace what they already have with bat caves. Not to mention the great crested newts, red kites, deer, badgers, lapwings, song thrush, linnets to name a few who will also be affected.
Port One have failed to fulfil their legal obligations already. What has happened to the proposed nature reserve being placed by the river in Great Blakenham - nothing!! What the council doing about it nothing!
The talk of vertical farms! Why concrete over arable land in the first place!
This expansion includes a huge data centre, which will need a huge amount of water to keep cool. This will be done by the creation of a massive bore hole. The flooding in this area is already increasing and not to mention the increased and constant heavy goods vehicles.
I think Suffolk has seen enough demolition of its country side with solar farms, Sizewell C, Gateway 14 to name but a few.
