My wonderful Mum, Dee, went to sleep for the final time in this life yesterday. She spent the last few weeks surrounded by love and laughter, and her final peaceful moments with her closest family, both those genetically related and those she chose for herself.
I thanked my Mum in my thesis for teaching me about softness in strength and kindness in combat, and I'd now add to that endless gratitude for teaching me about finding love, comfort, and humour in togetherness, no matter the challenge.
I will post further information about arrangements in a comment to this post at a later date but in the meantime, on behalf of myself Katie Cunliffe and Greg Cunliffe, Tony Austin, Steve Dooley, and Karen Lawson, thank you for all the love, laughter, care, and support you shared with Dee over the years ❤️
