It's a late one tonight...

Scotland kick off at 2am, and Harry is already getting himself prepared for a long night of football. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽

If you've ever walked past our showroom in Greenock, chances are you've spotted Harry keeping watch from his favourite spot in the bath.

Tonight, he's swapping bathroom inspiration for football and backing Scotland all the way.

Give this post a like if you'll be watching, and tag the friend who'll be struggling to stay awake by half-time!

Something exciting is taking shape in our showroom...

We've been working behind the scenes on a brand new kitchen display that showcases some of the finishes, textures and colour combinations that are proving incredibly popular with homeowners looking for something a little different.

Deep aubergine tones, warm bronze accents, textured graphite finishes and elegant stone surfaces come together to create a scheme that feels both contemporary and timeless.

One of our favourite parts of the design process is seeing how individual materials interact with each other. A colour that works beautifully on its own can become something truly special when paired with the right worktop, handle or feature finish.

Here's a small preview of what's coming soon to the Affordable Luxuries showroom.

What catches your eye first?

A worktop does so much more than finish a kitchen.

It shapes the whole feel of the space, from the way the light catches the surface to how the room looks, feels and works day after day.

Whether you’re drawn to the natural beauty and timeless character of Granite, the durability and wide colour choice of Silestone, or the sleek, high-performance qualities of Dekton, choosing the right worksurface is one of the most important design decisions in your kitchen.

It needs to look beautiful, of course, but it also needs to suit how you live. Cooking, entertaining, family life, morning coffees, weekend hosting, it all happens around the worktop.

That’s why seeing the materials in person makes such a difference. You can compare colours, feel the textures, look at finishes and get a proper sense of what would work best in your own home.

Visit our Greenock showroom for inspiration and to explore just some of the beautiful worksurface options available.

Bathroom colour trends for 2026 are moving away from the very cool whites and greys we’ve seen so much of in recent years.

Instead, we’re seeing softer, warmer and more expressive palettes coming through, colours that make a bathroom feel calm, personal and beautifully considered.

Warm neutrals like sandstone beige, soft taupe and warm greige are creating that comforting, spa-like base that works so well with natural wood and brushed metal finishes.

Earthy greens are also having a real moment, from soft sage and olive through to deeper forest greens and mossy teals. They bring a grounded, natural feel to the room and work beautifully across tiles, cabinetry and feature walls.

For those who prefer something warmer, sun-baked tones such as terracotta, clay reds and bronze ochre can bring real depth and cosiness, especially in bathrooms that don’t get much natural light.

We’re also seeing soft nostalgic blues coming through- think coastal sky blue, watery aqua and even dusky pinks. They add character without feeling too bold or overpowering.

And for anyone who loves a more dramatic, heritage-inspired look, deep jewel accents like navy, sapphire and damson-plum are perfect for vanities, panelling or a statement feature wall.

What do you think? Would you keep things calm and neutral, or would you be brave enough to go for a richer colour?

You shouldn’t have to work around awkward kitchen storage every day.

A well-designed kitchen is about more than how it looks; it’s about how it works when you’re cooking, unpacking the shopping, setting the table, or trying to keep busy family life organised.

From tall pull-out larders to corner carousels, deep drawer organisation and beautifully integrated storage, the right details can make your kitchen feel calmer, more practical and much easier to live with.

It’s clever storage.

The colours in this kitchen say so much about the space.

The warm wood tones bring a natural, welcoming feel, helping the kitchen feel homely rather than cold. The deep charcoal cabinetry adds that sleek, modern edge, giving the room a refined and luxurious finish. Then the natural light, greenery and brick textures soften everything beautifully, creating a space that feels open, balanced and easy to live in.

That’s what thoughtful kitchen design does. It’s not just about choosing colours you like, it’s about understanding how those colours work together to create a certain feeling in your home.

Would you choose this warm wood and charcoal combination for your own kitchen?
