Just 2 places left on this lovely Memory Slow stitch workshop with Sara from Little Brushes.

Come and join us to make an original piece of artwork using vintage fabric, lace, paper, buttons and beads.

During the class you will layer your fabric and photo to build up your unique picture using simple stitching and collage.
You will need to bring along a photograph and any fabric, buttons etc with a sentimental meaning to you.

All other materials, cake and a hot drink included.

This Saturday 20th June 12.30 till 4.30pm.

Not sure how we feel about making souvenir pottery but recently we’ve been asked by quite a few holidaymakers why we don’t offer something in clay they can buy as a gift that represents the area.

So this is it, our one and only souvenir offering … Roseberry Topping fridge magnets!
They won’t break the bank and actually we think these two prototypes have turned out quite lovely.

Our social media skills are very basic to say the least!
For all of you who ask why we don’t make fabulous reels of Jason making his Pottery and video’s of our workshops it’s because I really don’t have a clue how to put it all together and get it on social media 🫣(or have the time or even want to for that matter). So you will only see pics on here but I do my best to make sure they are nice 😅.

These pics were taken at my Silver clay workshop on Saturday and amongst other interesting items we had a goose feather, forget me nots, shells and an oak leaf imprinted into 3 of the pieces. They are all stunning 🤩.

My next workshop is fully booked but keep an eye out for more dates.

Thank you for a fab week and keeping us busy, here’s a few pics from just some of what was going on last week!

For anyone who doesn’t know much about us we are Jason & Mel and we are the owners of Westgate Pottery.
Jason is the Potter and I run the shop and creative space.
We are a Pottery studio with a Pottery shop and creative space below and we are on the High street in Guisborough.
Jason runs classes, workshops and wheel tuition in the Pottery and also goes out to venues to teach.
In our shop you’ll find beautiful handmade gifts from local artisan makers and crafters and stunning artwork painted by local artists alongside our ceramics.
Our creative space is used for non clay workshops and our monthly craft club.

A quick note about collecting Pottery tomorrow especially if you’re travelling!
If you are thinking about collecting any pieces you have made can you please send us a message today as Jason is teaching at another venue tomorrow and won’t be in the Pottery.

This means we can either have them ready for you to collect or give you an update on where we are with them.
Highland cows from 16th May are in the kiln and will be ready to collect from Monday.

We’ve had a little restock of handmade cards and owls from the lovely What Katy Did Next.

Katy will be with us on Saturday 25th July 1-4pm for her blossom and bee candle painting workshop … looking forward to this new workshop and there’s just 3 places left if you’d like to join us.

A huge thank you to all that have attended our workshops and for those who have booked for upcoming events.
