There’s no greater compliment to an interior designer than being asked to come back. Let’s be honest, we designers do rather enjoy a bit of praise. 😊
A couple of years ago, we transformed the family bathroom, two teen bedrooms and a teen snug for this super lovely family of four. Here are a few snapshots of those spaces.
Fast forward to now and we’ve been invited back. This time to work our magic downstairs on the sitting room, dining room and kitchen.
We’ve been busy behind the scenes bringing the designs together and we can’t wait to reveal them to the clients very soon… followed by you, obviously. Clients first, Instagram second. We do have standards!

Hertfordshire Interior Design

Tween girls… they’re going to spend A LOT of time sat here over the next few years, so it made sense to make it a nice place to be.

Skincare, makeup, talking to the mirror, talking on the phone, filming ‘get ready with me’ videos and, obviously, the odd bit of pretending to study.

So … Be honest… how many hours a week do you reckon this will be occupied?! 💅

A little snippet of a virtual design we’ve just completed for a client in Edinburgh. The client’s cats very much considered key stakeholders.

We planned the layout, pulled the scheme together and sourced everything, including a rather important cat-tower zone. Because beautiful high ceilings should also accommodate cats with aspirations.

Everything is packaged into a design pack with live pricing and links to shop via our client dashboard.

All turned around in 2–3 weeks. Cats included. 😽

When your guests are still here on Monday morning, you know you’ve got the guest bedroom right.

A room designed to make people feel welcome, comfortable and perhaps just a little too reluctant to leave. Warm colours, soft textures, thoughtful lighting and a few carefully chosen details, because nobody wants their guests checking out at 9am.

A House & Garden Magazine ‘The List’ announcement landing during the “kinda chic” trend? Honestly, the timing feels almost too convenient. Naturally, i’m taking advantage.
Styled Living has been selected for The List for another year, and it’s still a rather lovely thing to see my little studio amongst talented names.
Thank you The List by House & Garden , and thank you to all my brilliant clients who give me the freedom to do what I do best: obsess over the details, big and small.

Just like this Roman blind. Give it a cinch (or two) in the middle and it officially becomes “relaxed”. True story.

Hello. It’s been a while.

If you caught my stories, you’ll know I’ve just returned from an incredible trip to Borneo, then squeezed in a weekend of glorious chaos at Wilderness. And now… reality. So I thought I’d pop up and say hello.

I’m Charlotte, and I run Styled Living. We’re an interior design studio in Hertfordshire, which means we spend our days making homes work harder, look better and gently convincing people they probably do need more architectural features… and more storage.

Behind every calm, finished room is an alarming amount of technical drawings, procurement, supplier chasing, logistics, site visits and colour-coded organisation.

I’m lucky to work alongside a brilliant team of trusted freelancers, makers and trades who help bring every project to life, but you’ll always have me at the end of the phone.

Anyway… hello again. I’m back at my desk, the coffee is flowing, and there are some very exciting projects coming together that I can’t wait to share.

The best rooms are the ones that couldn’t belong to anyone else.

A few of our favourite bespoke details from this little lady’s bedroom. Everything was chosen with her in mind, becuase great design shouldn’t stop at the grown-ups’ rooms. ‘Tailor-made’ is kind of our thing.
