A wonderful donation of fiddle bits ❤️

Thank you, our residents will benefit from the use of these as fiddle mitts or twiddle muffs, are soft sensory sleeves with tactile features such as ribbons, beads, and buttons. They help keep restless hands occupied, reducing anxiety and agitation while providing sensory stimulation, warmth, comfort, and improved circulation for people living with dementia.

Over the past weeks Our ladies at craft group have been making fidget items for care homes with customers suffering with Alzheimer’s and dementia I had a lovely message sent from a friends aunt Doreen family and a photo of lovely auntie Doreen

Auntie Doreen was over the moon with her twiddle blanket and bag
I’ve also gave the staff of Sheraton Court some and they asked me to pass on their gratitude xx

Craft class wanted to do karaoke today! Our first timer pat 🤣🎶🎤 this little craft class is great for those over 50 everyone is friendly they have unlimited tea and coffee and snacks all for £5 creating new friends and having something to look forward to on a Thursday! Some of them have a cheeky pint...

We have more fidget bands our craft well being group have made and would like to donate to Hartlepool care homes caring with customers with Alzheimer’s or dementia, if your care home would like some please get in touch and arrange collection for this Thursday there’s a limit of 10 bands per home to help us get there in all homes

Sadly I’ve decided to cancel the Wellbeing Craft Group for now due to a lack of interest from the village , I really thought this was something you wanted and needed to have a catch up and check in with your neighbours who don’t normally socialise in Elwick village

I’d love to bring it back in the future if Kevin from the spotted cow will have us so please keep an eye on the The Spotted Cow page for any updates. I’ll arrange another date and share the details as soon as I can.
