Meet the Artist | Haslingden Market | Saturday June 27 9am - 3pm

Marjan Wouda Sculpture

Sculptor and visual artist Marjan Wouda will be exhibiting and selling prints inspired by Lancashire folklore. She will also discuss her forthcoming installation in Rawtenstall Square, a 3.5m corten steel hare symbolising the Pennine Moors and the beloved brown hare.

Buttery Art Studio

Helmshore based artist Andy Buttery known for his digital artworks inspired by the landscapes, landmarks and heritage of Rossendale. He’ll be exhibiting and selling a selection of prints and originals, a great chance to discover (and take home) a unique view of the valley.

There's plenty more to explore across Gather@ too, with independent makers, food, drink, live music, Vinyl, and the Puppet Rave all taking place throughout the morning and lunchtime.

This Saturday at Gather@, we're welcoming Guitar Corner and Ask the Luthier with Crossroads Guitars to Haslingden Market.

Whether you've been playing for 30 years, have just learned your first chord, or are simply curious about how guitars are made and cared for, drop by and say hello.

Bring your guitar and spend some time in Guitar Corner, where you can play and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming space for all abilities.

🔧 Ask the Luthier with Crossroads Guitars
9am–2pm

Bring your guitar for a free Guitar MOT, see hand-built instruments up close, watch a traditional French polishing demonstration and chat with Jacob from Crossroads Guitars about guitar care, repairs, set-ups and maintenance.

It’s all happening at Haslingden Market on Saturday 27 June from 9 am - 3 pm as Gather@ A FESTIVAL OF MUSIC FOR ROSSENDALE lands for a morning and early afternoon of live music, creativity, and community.

Bright, welcoming, and full of character, Haslingden Market is quickly establishing itself as a fantastic space for events.

This year at Gather@, we’re thrilled to welcome the brilliant Bin Collective, the Lancashire-based art collective behind the world’s FIRST Puppet Rave to Haslingden Market

Bin Collective create interactive, puppet-led experiences full of humour, chaos, creativity, and joy. Using repurposed and recycled materials, they invite audiences of all ages to jump into the action.

Join Bin Collective for a hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own puppet using scrap materials and a treasure trove of craft supplies. Dream up your character, bring it to life, then take it along to the rave later in the day so we can all dance the (night) away together. ⏰ Live from 12.30pm

Step into a lunchtime of playful chaos with Bin Collective and a cast of delightfully strange characters. Expect laughter, dancing, unexpected encounters, and plenty of puppet-powered mayhem. Bring your own puppet along, or meet a new puppet friend when you arrive. Adults and Kids welcome under 14's must be accompanied by an adult.

Hello lovely people ❤️ it’s been a while… sorry for going a bit quiet on here. Things have been a little hectic behind the scenes. I really appreciate everyone who’s been part of Music & Makers so far, and for your patience.

The good news is, we’re back in Haslingden 🎉 with makers, food & drink, live music, and this year something very special… a puppet rave. This is an energetic, immersive and interactive performance where people dance and rave with handmade puppets, blending dance music with puppetry. It’s playful, creative and fun, and suitable for kids, young people, and adults alike.

We’re also organising a puppet workshop in advance of the rave so people can get involved and make their own puppets before the event. Tickets will be available soon.

Music & Makers is also now becoming part of Gather@ Festival (June 26–28), a new multi-venue music & culture festival across the Rossendale Valley, presented by Later At

We’re looking for sellers too. If you’ve got vinyl, music memorabilia, or you make cool things, we’d love to have you involved. Drop me a message here or email [email protected]

Good morning, we will be back at Haslingden Market today from midday up until 5pm. Our little and very new Emporium is really coming together. We have some fabulous artists & makers, and will be bringing more over the coming months. Here's a little more about Karen from Valley of Stone Ceramics.

Rossendale-based ceramic artist Karen Howard loves everything about clay — the feel of it in her hands, the language of the craft (grog, wedge, fettle, slip), the alchemy of glaze mixing, and the thrill of opening the kiln to reveal each unique, handcrafted piece.

She makes beautiful handmade ceramics, including earrings, pendants, pin badges and trinket bowls, each one shaped by process and care. Bowie fans will love the lightning bolt pin badges.

We will be at Haslingden market from 9am today.
