The Sara Lee Trust Charity Shops Welcome to The Sara Lee Trust Retail page, where you can keep up to date with the latest stock and events in store.

The Sara Lee Trust currently has 5 Charity Shops located throughout Hastings and Bexhill as well as a Donation Centre. Each shop prides itself on delivering great quality donated goods at sensible prices with the level of service you would expect from a High Street shop. The income generated through the sales of donated goods is critical to our ability to meet local need for our services; which co

ntinue to grow. The Trust is an independent local charity that provides specialist counselling, complementary therapy care and group therapeutic activities, for free, to local people living with the effects of a life threatening illness with support for their families, carers and loved ones too, because we know that illness does not just affect the patient, but those around them as well. The Trust is also the dedicated provider of those services to patients of St Michael’s Hospice and the Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital. The charity receives no statutory funding for its core services which are totally reliant on public support and fundraising.

🙏 A huge thank you to Helen, who has lovingly created and donated 408 greeting cards to the Trust since January, all available to purchase in our Ore Charity Shop.

Helen began making cards in memory of her daughter-in-law, Jenny, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and sadly died in 2017 at just 31 years old. During her illness, Jenny and her family received support from The Sara Lee Trust through therapies, retreats and friendships that meant so much during a difficult time.

Wanting to give something back, Helen turned her passion for card making into a way to support the Trust. She says every card reminds her of Jenny and helps keep her memory alive. For the past five months, Helen has been donating her handmade cards to our Ore shop, where they continue to raise funds and bring joy to others.

Thank you, Helen, for your generosity, creativity and ongoing support 💙
