Who else has cupboards full of things
they've been meaning to sort out for ages?

Or drawers that seem to accumulate all sorts of things
that you don't really need but somehow never get
round to clearing out!

I'm sure most of us have areas of our homes that could
do with a good sort out. I'm certainly no exception,
despite spending much of my time helping other
people with their homes!

Every November I like to work my way through the
house, room by room, having a good clear-out and
getting organised before Christmas.

Last year I ran a 30-day challenge, so I thought I'd do
it again this year.

Starting 1 November, I'll be sharing one small task
each day, working our way from the top of the house
down.

Nothing too time-consuming or overwhelming, just
those little jobs that are so easy to keep putting off.

Whether you're getting ready for Christmas or
preparing to put your house up for sale on Boxing Day,
why not join me?

It's completely free and I'll be sharing everything right
here on my Refresh & Impress page.

No major makeovers, no spending a fortune and
certainly no expectation that your house needs to look
perfect!

Just 30 days of getting those little jobs done.

Do you fancy joining me?

Can you believe it’s under 60 days until Christmas? To be exact, 59 days!! 😳

If you are anything like me, once November hits, time just flies between now and Christmas.

It’s not just all the Christmassy bits… the cards, presents, decorations, cooking etc, but also getting the house ready for visitors or, for some of you, getting it ready to hit the Boxing Day house selling boom.

Every year before Christmas I started going through the house room by room, doing a deep clean and sort out, starting in November and tackling it a little bit at a time.

Last year I decided to set up a challenge so that others could join me, so I thought I’d do it again.

Nothing too overwhelming, just working through things one step at a time.

Starting 1st November, I’m running a FREE 30-Day Home Challenge to help us get our homes sorted before the Christmas season fully kicks in.

From sorting out the linen cupboard to giving the lounge a proper deep clean, nothing too complicated, just little jobs that will make a difference.

And there’s a little bonus too…

In mid-November I’ll be running a mini course:

“Top 10 Must-Dos to Get Your House Ready for the Market… Before You Even Talk to an Estate Agent!”

So whether you’re getting ready for Christmas, thinking about selling, or just want to get your home back under control before the end of the year, you’re very welcome to join in.

Just message me for more details or simply follow along 😊

Does the thought of getting your house sorted before Christmas fill you with dread?

Perhaps you've got cupboards you hide everything in, spare rooms full of things you've been meaning to sort out or a list of little jobs that never seems to get any shorter!

The trouble is, when we look at the never ending list, it can all feel a bit overwhelming.

That's why I'm running my FREE November Challenge again this year.

Just one small task each day throughout November to help you gradually work your way through your home.

You don't have to spend hours doing it, and there's no pressure to keep up every single day.

Even if you only manage half the tasks, that's still a lot more than you might have done otherwise!

We start on 1 November. Fancy joining me?

Fancy joining me for my November Challenge?

Can you believe we're nearly at November already?

If you're anything like me, once November arrives, the weeks seem to fly by and suddenly Christmas is just around the corner!

Last year I decided to share my annual pre-Christmas home sort-out as a 30-day challenge, and I've decided to do it again.

Starting on 1 November, I'll be sharing one small task each day to help you get your home organised and ready for Christmas, or ready to put your house up for sale on Boxing Day.

We'll start at the top of the house and work our way down, tackling everything from wardrobes and bedrooms to the kitchen, lounge and dining room.

Nothing too overwhelming, just little jobs that are so easy to keep putting off.

Whether you're preparing for Christmas visitors or hoping to take advantage of the Boxing Day Rightmove boom, it's a great opportunity to get ahead and have your home looking its best.

The challenge is completely FREE and will take place right here on my Refresh & Impress page. Just make sure you're following the page so you don't miss the daily tasks!

Why I do what I do!

Last week I spent the morning with a lovely lady who is getting ready to put her house up for sale.

When she opened the door to me, she looked tired and completely overwhelmed by what lay ahead and was dreading the thought of preparing her home.

We initially spent some time just chatting about her family, her plans for the future and how difficult it can be to leave a home you've loved for many years.

We then slowly went through the house, room by room, looking at what was already working well, what could be improved and how she could make the most of what she already had without spending a fortune.

We discussed how simple changes, such as rearranging furniture, swapping pictures around and making a few adjustments to certain areas, could make such a difference without having to spend lots of money.

By the time I left, it was lovely to see her looking more relaxed and feeling much more positive about what lay ahead.

It was wonderful to then receive a lovely email saying:
"Thank you so much for yesterday. It was an eye opener and very helpful."
"I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday and hopefully have learnt a bit about how to present this house better."

This is why I love what I do!

Not everyone wants or needs someone to come in and do everything for them. Sometimes all you need is someone to look at your home with fresh eyes, give you some honest advice and help you work out what's worth doing and what isn't.
A few hours of advice can make such a difference.

Let's talk about property photos!
Can you tell what this is?
I've noticed recently that the quality of photos on property websites seems to be very mixed.
Too few photos, too many photos, poor-quality photos, bad lighting and sometimes photos that really don't need to be there!
When you're putting your house up for sale, your photographs are one of the most important parts of your marketing. After all, they're often the first thing potential buyers see.
It's not just about having lovely photos either. The order they're shown in, the angles they're taken from and even how many are included can all make a difference.
So if you're thinking of selling your house, this is something I'd definitely recommend looking into before choosing your estate agent.
In my latest blog I've explained what I think you should be looking out for and why it matters.
