🧶 Fancy something cosy for those autumn evenings? 🍂

How about trying a chunky cotton-blend jumper by Sirdar? Perfect if you like to be warm and cosy without getting too hot! 💕

This gorgeous chunky yarn is a 50% cotton, 50% acrylic mix, making it a lovely choice for your autumn knitting.

I've put together a little kit with a different colour combination for you to try. Rather than the two-tone pink, how about using the beautiful, rich navy as your main colour, teamed with either stone or the lovely mid-blue shade, Cloud Nine? 💙

🧶 The complete kit is just £27.50, including the yarn and pattern.

The pattern is yours to keep, so you can use it for other projects in the future, too!

It's a lovely project to settle down with on an autumn evening, so why not pop in and have a look? I'd love to show you the colours!

Good afternoon everyone! 🧶❤️

Well, it’s been a very chilly one here today, and pretty quiet in the shop! But I really can’t blame anyone for not wanting to venture out in this wind and rain. 🌧️💨

Just a little reminder that we’re open tomorrow (Saturday) from 9:30am until 1pm, so if you need any yarn for your next project, do pop in and see me. I’d love to see you!

Looking at the forecast, next week sounds like it’s going to be just as cold and windy, so it might be the perfect excuse to stay cosy indoors with your knitting or crochet. 🧶☕ There’s nothing quite like a lovely yarn project on a chilly afternoon!

A little note about next Wednesday, 28th October: I will be closing at 1pm as I’m sadly attending the funeral of a very close friend. Thank you so much for your understanding. ❤️

🌞 Good morning and happy Thursday, lovely yarn lovers! 🧶

Well, it looks like the calm before the storm! 🌬️ The weather is lovely at the moment, but I believe we’ve got a storm coming in later. So perhaps now’s the time to pop out and see me before we all get blown away! 😂

Just a quick little update on some of my knitting and crochet goodies.

🩷 Rose anodised aluminium knitting needles 🩷

I’ve now got sizes from 10mm down to 6mm in the lovely 16-inch long needles — perfect for those of you who prefer the longer needles. I know some of you just can’t get on with the short ones! 😉

I’m still waiting for the smaller sizes to arrive, but they should be here fairly soon.

And for those of you who love knitting with the REALLY chunky stuff, I’ve also got some giant 15mm needles!

🧶 The standard needles are just £3 a pair, and the giant 15mm ones are £3.50 a pair.

🪝 Crochet lovers, I haven’t forgotten you!

I’ve got a lovely selection of crochet hooks in all sorts of shapes and sizes at the moment, including:

More gorgeous wool and yarn are arriving all the time, and I’m delighted to now stock KnitPro interchangeable circular needles.

These are brilliant if you enjoy knitting in the round. You can simply change the needle ends and cables to suit your project, without needing a huge bundle of separate needles. So practical and much easier to store!

And the perfect way to keep them tidy? One of our handmade crochet rolls and pouches, available in the shop. 💗 Practical, pretty and perfect for keeping your knitting essentials together wherever you go.

There’s always something new to discover, plenty of lovely yarn to browse, and hopefully a little sunshine on the way!

Happy Friday, lovely yarn lovers! 🧶❤️

What have I got to tell you today? Hmm… not a great deal, really! 😂

We have so many gorgeous yarns in the shop at the moment, but there are a few gaps appearing on the shelves. So, what do you think Sally will be doing today? 🤔

YES… ordering more lovely yarn! 🛍️

I'm on the hunt for some sparkly red yarn for Christmas, as I've seen some absolutely fabulous things made in those gorgeous festive colours. 🎄✨ I'm also thinking about lovely things we can wear over the Christmas period.

Have you seen the King Cole Dazzle in my window? It's a beautiful yarn with sequins woven into it, so no nasty little sequins catching on everything! 😍 We have it in soft pink, soft green, navy, red and wisteria. There's a fabulous jumper in the window made from it, and I have both the jumper pattern and a matching cardigan pattern available.

I'm also hoping to get some super chunky yarn for finger knitting in the next few weeks, so watch this space!

And if you're looking for something special to knit or crochet for the autumn and winter months, pop in and have a browse. We can have a look through the pattern books/shade books together and hopefully find just what you're after. ❤️

🧶🍂 Good morning, lovely yarn lovers! 🍂🧶

I’m looking forward to seeing you all in the shop, so do pop in and have a browse through our gorgeous yarns!

We’ve got some lovely things on the shelves at the moment:

🌈 Bright and vibrant double knits to brighten up those autumn projects.

🩵 Beautifully soft baby aran in duck egg, pale blue and cork
— honestly, you need to feel this one!

🧶 A couple of rather pretty variegated arans, plus lots of lovely chunky yarns to keep you cosy through the winter.

There’s plenty to inspire your next knitting or crochet project!

📣 A little update about our classes

We know we haven’t quite managed to keep everyone happy with the class arrangements lately, so we’re hoping a new approach will work better for everyone.

The November classes that are already booked will go ahead as planned, and we’re looking forward to seeing you all!

From December, we’re planning one weekday and one Saturday a month, with sessions available throughout the day. We’ll be booking individual knitting or crochet tuition with Sue, which we think will work much better for those who need a little extra help or would simply like to learn at their own pace.

These will be one-to-one sessions lasting 90 minutes, at £20 per session.

Although we normally close at 1pm on Saturdays, I’m quite happy to stay open for the full day on our designated class Saturday, so children and adults can both have the opportunity to come along.

I’ll let you know the December dates as soon as I’ve had a chat with Sue. 🧶

And one last thing — if there’s a particular colour you’re looking for and you can’t see it on the shelves, just ask! We can have a look through the shade books together and see if we can order it for you. 🌈
