Summer holidays have kicked in so been v quiet on here but I had such a lovely day yesterday, celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary in two outstanding very local Sussex businesses that I had to share asap!
Firstly, can I recommend a visit to Sidnye Flowers | Sussex Flower Farm to PYO flower farm just north of Cuckfield. Walking around the abundant beauty of homegrown flowers is such a treat (especially in these arid times) in itself; leaving with a huge bunch to fill a room at home is the best. 20 stems of your choice, plus the experience for £30 is👌🏼
Secondly, if you have an occasion do not hesitate but book Restaurant Isca We loved the old restaurant Jeremy’s and so we’ve been waiting with excitement for its opening. Ok we went on a beautiful evening, but it has the most stunning walled garden to wander around with a cocktail and then we went inside to where the clever owners have built an incredible conservatory space to house the restaurant. I am a massive fan of Nicola Harding & Co who is responsible for the interiors - huge respect to the owners of Borde Hill for appointing such talent to furnish the glasshouse with such style. Gosh I loved it. Food was great and bill fair. The team there have done this gorgeous set up so so well - congratulations and thank you! Now need to try Edem Doe next door for the casual version!
Sussex is all the richer for these quite different but equally charming places we can share 💫
