Good news. At last the road between Hebden Bridge and Todmorden is open. No more lengthy scenic diversions. Thank you to all the amazing customers who made the effort to come and see us. We are truly thankful 🙏
The notorious Hole in Hebden Bridge has been the star of its own saga for the past six weeks—so much so, it even gained its own Google page (yes, really!).
But for local businesses and residents, the experience has been anything but amusing.
The closure of the road between Hebden Bridge and Todmorden has caused countless headaches, with travel disruptions making it harder for people to get around and for customers to reach local shops, cafes, and services.
For the many businesses that rely on passing trade, the impact has been significant, adding stress to an already challenging time.
Despite this, the community has shown incredible resilience, rallying together to support one another through the disruption.
Now, for the good news: the road is finally OPEN!
While it’s a relief for everyone, let’s not forget the businesses that have taken a hit during this time.
As we celebrate the end of this chapter, let’s make an extra effort to support the local traders and entrepreneurs who are the heart of Hebden Bridge and Todmorden.
They’ve weathered this storm, only to prepare for the impending Storm Eowyn on Friday — but for now, it’s our turn to show them some love! ❤️
