There is a woman who has recently started lace making. She lives in Hailsham and is looking to join a local lacemaking group. She may even be willing to start one. If anybody would like to post information for her here or chat about creating a group in Hailsham if there isn't one, feel free!

Flitterbrook flower farm just posted their Christmas wreath making classes. Local, sustainable and lovely!

The classes are hugely popular and fill up fast, so grab them asap. I don't mind when y'all call me on December 1st asking if I know of any wreath making classes but I always have to disappoint you that everything I know of is full, so this is advance warning to book early! I highly recommend Georgina, she has taught a series of seasonal wreath making workshops here in the past, they were fabulous!

There's also two October Pumpkin floral class sessions to check out. One is at the gorgeous The Stone House Estate, the other at Eggs to Apples Farm Shop

Here's another AI scam kit.

Hints:
The bead sizes in the package are not the size that they use in the completed piece. The video shows them assembling it, but the beads are jumping in place. Clear Fishing line, nope, not for bead weaving.

Very beautiful, but if it was real, it would be an advanced beader pattern.

Please check carefully and look at reviews beyond the page you find it on Facebook. The company selling this has a 20% approval rating.

Please ask an experience beader to look before you spend your money. You'll find a whole group of them on most Wednesdays in the Malthouse. Call to check that the Malthouse Beaders are meeting and drop in!

There are many reputable beading companies and individuals who make their living designing patterns and some sell them as complete kits. They deserve your business, but fake AI scams have no interest in helping you produce something to be proud of, just taking your money.

Please do not fall for these adorable kits that seem to be spreading across the internet. The photos are AI generated, the instructions are not instructions and the beads are cheap junk. Buyer beware - just don't!

This looks like the Zpagetti we used to have - great for crochet baskets, bags, cat houses and lots more. Remember the placemats on the loom and the crocheted hot mats?! Check with Lisa or Carol to see if it varies in stretch. Grab a bargain!

The shop can get pretty hot on normal sunny summer days unless we have a good breeze. With the heat expected this week, it will be unbearable and fans will just circulate the hot air around. As much as it might be amusing to see the Beaders with tiny Miyuki beads sticking all over them, I am cancelling the Malthouse Beaders groups in the shop on Wednesday and moving all activity online to the usual morning zoom version.

If you were planning to pop by the shop on Wednesday, call first and I can meet you there. I may be at Geo's Coffee House exploring all the possible flavours of the frozen lemonades they craft (must be a workday for me as there is crafting going on there). Pineapple seems to be the winner for me so far, with peach a close second. 😎
