Our first Craft Club session back after the summer is such a lovely, straightforward craft, and so effective! You probably havenโt heard of โBargelloโ (unless you joined us a couple of years ago to give it a go!), but you will have seen it used. Itโs a type of needlepoint embroidery, using simple straight and flat stitches. The key word here is simple as there arenโt loads of different stitch techniques to master! Instead, following a pattern and using different coloured threads, you create geometrical and/or symmetrical motifs and patterns. The finished items can be really striking if you use bold and contrasting colours, or you can play around with more complimentary colours and shades.
During the evening, we will be embroidering a Bargello square which can be used as a coaster or made into a little hanging decoration or even a functional photo/memo holder. We will have some other options on the night, as well as share other ways you can use this skill in future projects, as it is such a versatile craft!
We are also pleased that our first workshop back after Summer will be held in the fantastic Market place space of Patch, High Wycombe - an ideal space for social crafting!
