Our range of craft kits are getting ready to take centre stage for the imminent Christmas build-up period! We take the opportunity to showcase them at local Christmas Craft Markets as we know they make fantastic gifts, either as a kit for a crafty loved one (or as the handmade item made by yourself!). They are also a wonderful way to take a moment to get creative in your own time in the weeks before the big day itself, we have a lovely array of festive crafting kits!

Here's a round-up of the Christmas Markets we will be at this November:

🎁 Peterley Christmas Market - Thursday 12th - Sunday 15th November
🎁 Patch High Wycombe Makers Market - Saturday 14th November 12-4pm - we will also be running a free craft activity for you to join in with!
🎁 Chiltern Made Maker's Market at the Elgiva Chesham - Saturday 21st November 10:30am-4pm
🎁 Humble Country Christmas Market at the Walled Garden - Saturday 28th - Sunday 29th November 10:30am-4:30pm (plus a VIP night on Friday 27th Nov 4-8pm)

It would be lovely to see you, do put the dates in your calendar and get that Christmas shopping started! We are extremely lucky to have so many fantastic Craft Market events in our local area - do ensure you shop local and support small businesses with your Christmas shopping this year!

🎄 Wreath Making Workshops! 🎄

These fantastic festive events are available to book on our website, if you haven't already - we have a number of dates and times for you to choose from, hosted at wonderful local venues!

As well as our annual evening workshop at Patch High Wycombe and Sunday afternoon workshop at Cedar Barn Hazlemere, new for 2026 we are delighted to be collaborating with Hildreth's Home and Garden Centre in Prestwood and running additional daytime workshops there!

An activity to enjoy with friends or family members, we provide all foliage, materials, decorations and of course guidance and inspiration to help you make a gorgeous wreath to adorn your front door for the Christmas period.

Our Christmas Crafting Nights are such a fantastic way to make sure you have scheduled in that much-needed get-together with friends and loved ones before the calendars get Christmas crazy...and it is all coming round rather quickly! 🧑‍🎄🎄😜

The crafting is purposefully simple and fun, perfect for beginners and ideal projects to create while chatting, enjoying festive refreshments and our festive playlist!

Join us on one of our two Christmas Crafting evenings, starting from 7pm:

📆 Tuesday 17th November at Cedar Barn, Hazlemere
📆 Thursday 19th at Patch, High Wycombe

We'll be making mini embroidery hoop decorations and macrame wreath decorations with gorgeous beaded or velvet bows! You can have a go at both crafts, or just one and make a couple of items - it is totally up to you!

We can't wait to see you for our annual Christmas Crafting night, they have become quite a tradition now! Booking is available on our website, head to our What's On Page 🥰

We are so pleased to be bringing back a firm favourite workshop one more time before the year is out - Punch Needle Embroidery!

This is a very satisfying craft and we promise you that no prior embroidery experience is necessary! We introduce you to the tools and the techniques you will be mastering. Plus we help with some common troubleshooting you might encounter, this is why it is a great one to learn in a group, with help on hand! Or perhaps you have been to one of these workshops before and would like to come back to enjoy it for a second/third time!

We apply our knowledge to customise a zip-pouch bag or an embroidery hoop - personalised with a punch needled initial - the finished items have been really fabulous and perhaps this could be a way to create a handmade Christmas gift for a loved one...?

A reminder about our final Autumnal Craft Club workshops for the season on Thursday 29th October - we have a little something for everyone!

As it's during the Half Term week (how did that come round so quickly?!), we start the day with workshops for the kids at Patch High Wycombe - a range of pumpkin themed crafts to enjoy at our 10am or 1pm sessions! (sibling discounts available) 🎃

We then head to Hughenden Village Store and Cafe that evening from 6:30pm for a grown-up session of fabric pumpkin making! For this Craft Club session, tweens/teens 12+ are warmly invited (with an accompanying adult - and an under 18 discounted ticket price).

A lovely way to celebrate the Autumnal season (before we move onto the next one!) and a great option for families to entertain the kids and get creative together during the school holidays - we still can't believe they are here already...

Life can get so busy, it is very easy for the logistics and demands of modern life to take over. Sometimes the answer, for our own wellbeing, is to take a little pause.

A creative pause can help the mind return to the present, switch off from those constant thoughts of what needs to be done, and allowing yourself to focus on something different, while still feeling like you are 'doing' something - that helps make sure you don't distract yourself with another to-do list!

Make sure you take a moment for yourself - sometimes taking that step away can even help your clarity when you are ready to get going again.

Earlier this week, we held a fab Craft Club workshop, making beautiful Autumnal Wreaths!

Before we even got started, we had experienced a slight venue booking mishap and had to quickly relocate ourselves to our local school. During our 'crisis-averting phase' of the evening, we were amazingly grateful not only to the school, but to a couple of our other regular venues who were also poised to come to the rescue, and it totally reminded us what an amazingly kind and collaborative community we have around us 🥰 Our attendees were also amazingly understanding with our last-minute communications to them.

Back to the creativity - we used an array of dried grasses, flowers and fruits, ribbons and raffia and even faux berries and mini toadstools to adorn a vine wreath. It was lovely to see the bunches of dried foliage and accessories come together to make unique items. It was also wonderful to see the creative process, the satisfaction and enjoyment that this make brought. Plus, everyone went home with a lovely seasonal decoration that can be put up year after year!

Thank you to everyone who came along, it was so nice to see new faces as well as familiar ones!

Kids Crafting is back this October half term (and it's coming round quickly...)!

We are running our pumpkin themed crafting sessions this coming Half Term, on Thursday 29th October. We have two sessions for you to choose from, one starting at 10:30am and the second at 1pm.

During the 1 hour 15 min session, kids will have the opportunity to create a variety of pumpkin themed crafts - making with beads, paper and wool! This is a perfect whatever-the-weather activity, and an even more perfect screen-free activity for the kids to enjoy.

It still tickles us that the venue we are running the session at is called Patch, it fits our 🎃 theme so well! It's situated in the Old Library at the end of High Wycombe High Street and our crafting room will be just off the Django's coffee shop so there is the chance for the grown-ups to grab a delicious coffee while the kids are occupied!

Our Create Your Happy weeks are busy and varied right now! Autumn and Christmas workshops to prepare, enquiries for our popular wreath making workshops, planning sessions for adults as well as children and teens, plus private bookings 😜

At Christmas we put a spotlight on our fantastic range of creative craft kits, so behind the scenes, we are also frantically preparing for Christmas Market season!

We'll pop a summary of all the places we will be, where and when, but we wanted to post today to say that we are delighted to be joining the Peterley Christmas Market again for 2026 and that the tickets to attend this lovely event are available today for those who subscribe to Peterley's mailing list and tomorrow for all - these can sell out so do book quick if you were planning on visiting!

Such a lovely festive experience, we hope to see you there!

We are very lucky to be able to hold our workshops in a number fab venues in the local area. The environment we are creating in is important to us - it adds to the atmosphere and experience of our session! We find it an added bonus when the venue hosts are such a joy to collaborate with!

in High Wycombe town centre is a venue we have run workshops in for a while now and we keep coming back! Different workshops have been hosted in different spaces, meaning we can offer children's workshops during the day in the school holidays, cosy Craft Club sessions in the Market Place and larger groups for activities such as wreath making in the Reading Room.

Run by a fab team, coffee shop on hand and we always find ourselves talking with our workshop attendees about the building and the community that Patch has supports within its walls and beyond.

We have a number of workshops in Patch between now and the end of the year - Kids October Half Term crafting, our annual Christmas Crafting Evening, traditional Festive Wreath Making and we look forward to being part of their Maker's Market in November too!
