Thank you to everyone who came to our Candle Painting Craft Club workshop last night! 🥰

We were a 'woman-down' here at CYH with Laura at home ill, but Liz and the made a fantastic hosting team for the night.

The aim of this workshop was to enjoy the process of painting, to go with the flow and do something us adults don't necessarily get the chance to do very often! Tapping into our own creativity whilst connecting with others is considered quite a treat in our busy lives! We loved seeing your designs and creative flair, and we really hope you enjoyed your evening! 🌟

With June just around the corner, here's a little round-up of what we have going on next month!

Join us for one of our Craft Club workshops before we take a little break over the summer holidays. This month's workshops are popping up in fantastic local venues- , Cornerstone Hall in Little Kingshill and High Wycombe.

We are also excited to be collaborating with to bring a fab new crafting zone to their Father's Fest 2026 event! (this is a ticketed event, all details can be found on Peterley's website!)

We wanted to wish our amazing Meryl a very Happy Birthday! 🥰 Not only is she Laura's most fantastic mum and so naturally a huge supporter of everything Create Your Happy, the role she has come to play at our Craft Club workshops is super special.

Welcoming, encouraging and engaging with everyone who joins our workshops helps bring the warm and friendly atmosphere and really embodies our desire to serve a dose of wellbeing and self-care alongside the crafting element. For some, a re-filled cup of tea or coffee brought to you (and maybe with an extra slice of cake!) can mean just as much as the satisfaction felt when mastering a new creative skill.

We are both beyond grateful for the support we receive from Meryl and this is the perfect day to shout about it! Happy Birthday and thank you for everything you do!

Join us this coming Sunday down at and ! Their doors are open to the community as they host a Makers Market, are running interactive sessions that you can book onto with your little ones, there's a face painter and we will be running free craft activities!

It’s FrogFest in the town over the whole weekend, with live music, street performances, kids’ disco, food trucks, so a nice reason to visit the town and support local over the bank holiday weekend!

With 2026 designated the National Year of Reading in the UK, Patch are supporting and raising awareness of 'Read Easy Chilterns', a local charity helping adults learn to read. So our crafts will be book and reading themed! Create a bookmark to accessorise your current read - we have variations ready for the whole family to join in, and this is a lovely quick craft fix you can enjoy as part of your day! Drop-in, no need to book.

The third of our Craft Club June workshops is a good one! Join us for an evening of creative embroidery, where we will be customising clothing with some lovely hand embroidery. We have been seeing more and more clothes with added embroidered embellishments in the shops and online recently, and we thought it would be lovely for us to make our own!

Simply bring along an item of clothing (denim jeans/shorts/jacket or a cotton t-shirt/jumper) and we will guide you through a variety of embroidery stitches to customise it! No prior embroidery experience is required...we will provide all the guidance, embroidery know-how and inspiration for your project.

This session is taking place on Thursday 30th June, 7-9.30pm in the fabulous surroundings of , situated in the Old Library Building in High Wycombe. We think this might be a workshop that teens would enjoy as much as us grown-ups and so we are very pleased to offer a discounted ticket price for 14-17 year olds who will be joining you.

This week has been Mental Health Awareness week and the 2026 theme of 'Action' reminds us that positive mental health often starts with small steps, and that these can actually make the biggest difference!

Taking time to slow down, step away from daily pressures, and do something creative is more than just a hobby, it’s an act of self-care. Creativity can help reduce stress, improve wellbeing, and give your mind the space it needs to reset.

At Create Your Happy, we believe action doesn’t always have to be loud or life-changing. Sometimes, action looks like:

✨ taking a mindful moment,
✨ trying something new,
✨ putting down your phone,
✨ making time for yourself,
✨ spending time with others,
✨ reconnecting with joy through creativity...

And that is exactly what we are both so keen to provide! We are here to help you take action for your wellbeing — one creative moment at a time. 🎨

We can’t let our next Craft Club workshops pass without enjoying another Macrame workshop - a firm favourite in our range of craft activities and this time we are making Boho covers for jars - a really lovely way to update your home decor and summer table!

These are really effective looking, plus you can choose from a variety of patterns to suit your style and also how complex or straightforward you would like your design to be. Your jar will be approximately 15-20cm tall and is perfect for displaying some faux flowers, adding LED lights on a summer’s evening (we are slowly getting there!) or even for hiding little bits and bobs (this is what we use ours for!)!

Absolutely no prior macrame experience is required, as we will guide you through every step of the way. If you have been to any of our macrame workshops before however, you will notice we use the same knot techniques, it is lovely to know that the skills you learn can be adapted to a range of projects!

We'll be at Cornerstone Hall, Little Kingshill (attached to the Kingshill Kitchen) on Thursday 18th June from 7pm. A lovely June social crafting workshop, we are ready with the summer Boho vibes, so it's a perfect evening to book with friends and family members to enjoy getting creative together!

Next month, we are excited to be returning to Hughenden Village Store and Cafe to pop up with a lovely Craft Club workshop! On Wednesday 3rd June from 7pm, we will be Candle Painting and we are getting set for a lovely summer’s evening of social crafting!

As with our previous candle painting sessions, this is a beginner friendly activity - we will teach you simple mark making techniques to build up your design, so even with no painting experience you will make some beautiful candles for your home! During the session you will be able to make 2 or 3 candles to fit in with your decor!

On the night, the lovely cafe will also be open for you to purchase refreshments to enjoy as you craft!

We are firm advocates of taking time to be in the present, enjoy the moment, it doesn't always come easily in this fast-paced world, and it's exactly what our creative workshops are all about 🥰 BUT we also find ourselves looking ahead to the next weeks and months, especially when we have Craft Club events that we can’t wait to tell you about!

June is definitely a month to shout about because we have not one, not two but three workshops in three lovely local venues. Three opportunities to get creative and immerse yourself in fantastic crafts. Here’s what’s on next month:
