Viola Ceramics Studio is a studio and manufacture based in a lovely village near Bristol, United Kingdom - designing and producing ceramic elements for interior decoration. We also accept challenges and, apart from the basic offer, I’m ready to collaborate with designers and architects and work on individual requests.

Some trips are holidays. Others become part of your creative journey.
I couldn't visit Bursa and Istanbul without bringing one of my own handmade Ginkgo tiles with me.
Standing in front of centuries-old ceramic masterpieces was a reminder that every handmade piece carries a story. Mine may be new, but they're inspired by the same love of craftsmanship, colour and timeless design.
I came home with a camera full of photos... and a head full of new ideas. 💚

Some places leave you speechless. Pamukkale is definitely one of them. 🤍
I couldn't resist bringing one of my handmade ceramic tiles with me. Seeing it against the dazzling white travertines and turquoise water felt like the perfect reminder that inspiration is everywhere.
Every journey adds another layer to my work, and I have a feeling this trip will stay with me for a long time.

On 23rd May I opened a little self-serve stand outside my home and studio.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a bit of a crazy plant lady 🌱 so at first the stand was mostly filled with plants, flowers and seedlings from my garden... with a little bit of ceramics mixed in.

Then one lovely customer discovered my ceramic k***s.

She fell in love with the spinning-top design and came back not once, but twice for more.

Yesterday she asked if I had any other colours available and it suddenly dawned on me that she might end up replacing all of her k***s, not just a few 😂

I was sure I had more hidden somewhere in the studio...

What followed was a long-overdue treasure hunt through boxes, shelves and forgotten corners.

Thanks to Jeni, I finally organised a collection of ceramic k***s that had been waiting for attention for nearly two years 😅

Sometimes all it takes is one enthusiastic customer to motivate you to tackle a job you've been putting off for far too long.

the subtle differences,
the way light moves across each surface.
These tiles have just arrived to their new home in California,
after weeks of making, drying, firing…
Every piece slightly different —
and that’s exactly the point.

Packed, wrapped… and ready to leave the studio 💛
After weeks of making, drying, firing, glazing and firing again —
this batch of yellow ginkgo tiles is finally on its way to its new home.
There’s always something a little emotional about this moment…
seeing them all together for the last time before they travel across the world.
Each one slightly different,
each one made by hand,
each one carrying a small piece of this studio with it ✨
I can’t wait to see them installed —
that’s always when the story feels complete.
