Joiner / Joinery Workshop Assistant
Tallents Farm Joinery Ltd – Kimpton, Hertfordshire
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking joiner to join our small team in Kimpton.
We specialise in bespoke timber windows, doors and traditional joinery, working mainly with timber such as Accoya, hardwoods and softwood. Our work includes manufacturing and fitting windows and doors for both modern and period properties.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has joinery or woodworking experience
- Can use common woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Takes pride in their work and has good attention to detail
- Is reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Can work both independently and as part of a small team
- Has a full UK driving licence would be an advantage
- Experience with timber windows and doors would be a bonus, but isn't essential
The role will involve:
- Workshop joinery and manufacturing
- Making timber windows and doors
- Preparing, sanding and finishing components
- General workshop duties
- Occasional site work and installation
- Working on bespoke and sometimes traditional joinery projects
We are a small, friendly business, so the role would suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment rather than a large factory setting. There is plenty of opportunity to learn and develop your joinery skills.
Hours: Approximately 9:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Kimpton, Hertfordshire
Pay: Depending on experience and ability
