I asked my partner to fill in the ‘About Me’ section as he is best placed to be objective (and I can always change anything he gets wrong). He said, “They say the apple never falls far from the tree yet Bev, who lives with me in the UK, is 11,400 miles away from her parents, who live in New Zealand. Bev’s mum is an award-winning spinner and knitter, and has been sending us socks and accessories fo
r well over a decade. She’s fully converted me to wool and I refuse to wear anything else. On my feet that is. Bev went over to see them in January but broke her ankle on day 3 of her stay and was essentially housebound. They used the time to good effect though and her mum taught her to knit in just 4 weeks from scratch. What’s more, she's recently launched our own brand of yarn Yarn by Clarke - machine-washable, mulesing-free sock yarn spun from premium New Zealand wool. So Bev is now continuing the family legacy in more ways than one and I guess they were right about that apple all along.”
