This week, I had the honour of creating funeral flowers for Lisa, the sister of my dear childhood friends, who sadly passed away after her illness with cancer.

Lisa leaves behind her three beautiful Daughters, Granddaughter and her devoted husband, who never left her side throughout her illness, both in hospital and at home.

Lisa was such a fun character, known for her beautiful smile and her warm, welcoming nature. As restaurant manager at The Galley Hall Pub, she was the perfect host. It has also become clear just how kind and caring she was, often going above and beyond to help her customers.

Lisa loved a good cuppa, so I created a special cup-of-tea flower tribute in her memory—a small reflection of something she enjoyed and a wonderful part of who she was.

Sending my deepest condolences to Lisa’s family and everyone who loved her. She will be truly missed and fondly remembered. 🤍🌸

If you’ve seen my garden work, you’ll know my passion for growing and all things floral. My City & Guilds floristry courses taught me botany and horticulture, shaping how I care for plants and spaces. When my mum was unwell, I helped maintain her garden under her guidance because it mattered to her. Now, with my son Ali on the team, we’re expanding to bring that care to more gardens: grass cutting, planting, pruning, weeding, and hedge trimming. We currently work on a number of gardens, and with Ali on board we can do more. Our rate is £45 per hour for two skilled team members, working steadily to get the job done. References available.

What are we thinking ?
The recipient thinks they are the most beautiful flowers she’s ever seen and they’ve made her day & she’s made mine with her reaction. Apart from the Lillies these are all grown by myself and I get attached to the little darlings x

A beautiful line up of recent gifts

Flowers have always been my passion they get me through days of stress that we all get from time to time. Early seed sowing gets me out of the doldrums of early dark evenings and cold winter days.
I’ve upped my game with grow lights and heat mats and I’m feeling unstoppable.
This is a picture of six week old lisianthus seedlings that I’m growing they are notoriously slow and difficult. But look at those roots baby !
Hopefully I’ll manage to nurture them on till the summer.
New life for the year.
