Allium Bespoke I make bespoke, hand finished curtains, blinds and other home furnishings. I also run soft furnishing workshops. Welcome to Allium Bespoke.

I make quality made-to-measure, hand-made curtains, blinds, pelmets and other home furnishings including small re-upholstery items and lampshades. I offer a bespoke service and concentrate solely on designing and making. I don't hold stocks of fabric but have access to hundreds of books and am more than happy to help a client to choose, including shopping around with them. I offer a no obligation

visit in which I can take measurements if you wish me to and we can discuss home furnishing options. Once I have the measurements, I write a detailed estimate listing everything clearly and post off to you together with my terms and conditions. I work from home which keeps overheads and costs to a minimum. I can make simple lined curtains or hand pleated interlined and lined curtains, pelmets or roman blinds. These are all finished by hand with the minimum amount of machining, this makes for a much more luxurious finish. Once your home furnishings are made, I visit once more to hang, smooth and dress the curtains so that they hang beautifully.

Hi there, it’s been a long while. There’s been a lot going on since November last year and I barely had a moment to catch my breath, never mind post on here.
This year is a big one, a new chapter for my husband and I and lots of exciting things happening.
Firstly we said goodbye to our family home of 21 years at the beginning of March. It’s been a fabulous place to bring up our family. That also means that I’ve said goodbye to my lovely workroom. It came at just the right time in 2019 and has been a wonderful place to run my little business from for the past seven years.
Thank you to all my lovely clients and those who attended my workshops.
But it doesn’t end here!! Oh no, on to pastures new, a fantastic new workroom and lots more workshops to come.
Tuesday is our silver wedding anniversary and we’re celebrating in style.
We’re currently taking a much needed break (as we’re homeless!😂) but will be moving into our gorgeous new home the first week in May. Workshops will resume at the beginning of June and orders are already in the books.
I look forward to welcoming you there and making all your lovely soft furnishings in my new workroom.

It’s been a while. I’ve had such a busy year and have so much to share with you.
Let’s start with these beautiful curtains.
I was asked by my client if I could do anything with a vintage pair of Laura Ashley curtains. She loved the fabric but they were looking tired, too short and simply lined.
I stripped them back to just the fabric and added a ‘secret’ panel to give the extra length needed. I managed to take a panel from the width and use it to make a frill for the top. The final touch was a lovely contrast edging to bring out the blue in the design.
Made up with insulating interlining and thermal blackout lining they are now luxurious, super cosy and totally bespoke!!
