Your timber gate will change over time and that’s part of its character.
Our gates are made from natural timber, so no two pieces will look exactly the same. Over time, exposure to sunlight, rain and changing weather conditions can cause the colour of the wood to settle and develop.
You may also notice natural characteristics such as twisting, warping, checking or splitting as the timber expands, contracts and dries. These changes are a normal part of how natural wood responds to its environment and don't necessarily mean there is a problem with the gate.
That’s why correct installation, suitable treatment and regular maintenance are so important. An appropriate timber treatment helps protect the wood from the elements, while allowing sufficient clearance and using suitable, adjustable fittings can help accommodate natural movement.
If you're unsure about the right treatment, installation or care for your Blamphayne timber gate, our sales team will be happy to help.
