One year since the completed refurbishment of The Crown Hotel & Pub

A scheme which reintroduced a richer sense of character and atmosphere to the pub, layering deep tonal colours, warm lighting and classic detailing to create a space that is both timeless and inviting.

Always nice to look back on projects, especially after seeing how the pub has thrived over the last year thanks to the changes implemented!

We’ve just completed the refurbishment of The Hoste Arms in beautiful Burnham Market and I’m so proud of how it’s come together.

This Grade II listed building is full of history and character so the approach was never about changing it, it was about enhancing what was already there. Keeping the soul but elevating the comfort. Rich, plush leathers, warmer heritage tones, softer lighting and bespoke details that sit naturally within the original architecture.

Working with the team at Young’s on buildings like this is always about balance, respecting the past while gently giving it a new energy.

Wishing all the team continued success in this popular and thriving site.

The refurbishment of all 29 bedrooms took almost 6 months to complete and was carried out in stages….a few of the Phase 1 and 2 rooms are shown here, some were a full hit of all finishes including feature timber headboard details and beautiful new bathrooms while others saw purely new decorations, lighting and new soft furnishings.
This popular hotel and pub is now thriving thanks to its new lease of life so if you’re visiting Surrey, be sure to check it out and enjoy the stunning surroundings of its lakeside location….stayed tuned for Phase 3!

Thanks to all this involved:

With Wimbledon in full swing….no pun intended…it got me thinking back to this time last year working on the scheme for which completed late last summer. This pub and hotel is a true icon to the area, located in the heart of Wimbledon Village. The initial brief was a large sparkle with a touch of jewelled richness including full internal decorations, refurbishment of furniture and some new light fittings/artwork. This grew to include a feature tiled bar apron, new stained timber cladded bar front as well as an overhaul of the external drinking areas.
The grand interior with its high ceilings and period details was able to take a bold colour scheme, introducing a drench of rich reds to the dining area, deep blues in the bar and traditional browns in the library function space. If you’re lucky enough to have tickets to the tennis make sure you stop by, it’s a real gem within the estate! 💎
