Take a tour around my latest bathroom renovation 👀 where unique rhombus tiles in gorgeous shades of olive green meet energising terrazzo and a contemporary wall lights and mirror combination. This family bathroom is now transformed into a modern, colourful space fit for three teenagers.

I enjoy looking for ways to reuse and recycle in my design schemes. Existing pieces of furniture can often be given a smart new look with a paint refresh.

In this bedroom scheme I took a very useful bookcase and gave it a completely new look. I painted it in the darkest tone of the colour palette to make it a focal point in the new bedroom, and I wallpapered the back panel, which gave the unexpected benefit of it blending with the wallpaper. I'm really pleased with how this one turned out!

Serene study nook 💭

A few considered choices can create a calm work space in any home. In this design I have installed the Harlequin 'Meso' paper on the walls to set the calm, cream colour scheme. It is paired with a budget-friendly IKEA desk, which is elevated with a mid-century style chair in n**e leather and a scalloped table lamp with brass stem.

From trade show launch to installation in 5 months! ⏱️

I love including exciting new products in designs for my clients. When I saw these unusual green tiles at the Surface Design Show in February, I noted them down for future use.

Fast forward to June when a current client asked me to select the tiles, mirror and lights for her bathroom renovation. I knew they'd be a great fit for her family bathroom to be used by three teenagers. Paired with a terrazzo tiled floor to keep things light and fun, everyone is thrilled with how it's turned out.

Thanks to for always being my favourite stand, for another beautiful product and for bringing them to the UK.

Have you ever wondered why some rooms just feel 'right'?

The brief from this soon-to-be teenager was for a calm bedroom with a cream colour palette. I wanted to create a space that feels sophisticated enough to grow with her, while still weaving in some fun and personality.

I did that with a pretty patterned wallpaper, a headboard fabric featuring overlapping semi-circles, and by repeating an on-trend scallop detail on the pinboard, cabinet and desk lamp. The woven rattan lighting fixtures add natural texture, and a hint of tonal contrast, giving the room a contemporary feel.

Repeating the curved shapes throughout the room creates a sense of flow, which helps the design feel cohesive rather than themed.

Would you love to wake up here? 🤍

How I go the extra mile for my clients - Part 2.

Once I design a scheme and present it to my clients, I'm committed to making it a reality for them. I'm happy to pick up small jobs that need doing to put the finishing touches to a room. This week I've been painting some bobbin trim. It's on its way to a very special cloakroom!

What a difference a day makes! Yesterday our conservatory came down, and wow what a transformation! I am staggered by the extra light now in our kitchen. I really hadn't realised how much light the conservatory roof was stopping. This makes me happy that we're going in the right direction with our extension.

How I go the extra mile for my clients...

For the bedroom design scheme that I shared 2 weeks ago, I received a sample of the headboard fabric. It had looked fresh and fun on the website but was really disappointing in reality! The colours are just too muted. So I thought, why not have a go myself.

I taught myself a new software package called Inkscape and I used the concept of this pattern to draw it myself. I could then choose the colours that would work with my light blue and burgundy colour scheme, and today the sample print arrived!

There's a whole range of fabrics you can self-print onto, I've tried the Chichi furnishing velour first and I think it looks fab-u-lous!
