Yesterday was one of the hardest days our Design Interiors family has had to face.

Many of you will know our beautiful Dottie. For nearly 17 years she has been by our side, greeting customers with a wagging tail, supervising the showroom, keeping an eye on the fitters, and proudly holding the title of Head of Security. She wasn't just our dog – she was part of the team and part of what made Design Interiors feel like home.

She has brought so much love, laughter and comfort to everyone who has met her, and we've been incredibly lucky to share so many wonderful years with her.

Sadly, after recently suffering from seizures and other health complications, we've had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go peacefully. Dottie was at home, in her own bed, surrounded by those who love her most. It's the kindest gift we can give her, even though it's the hardest decision we've ever had to make.

To everyone who stopped to say hello, gave her a fuss, slipped her a treat, or simply smiled when they saw her curled up in the showroom, thank you. You helped make her life as special as she made ours.

Sleep peacefully, our beautiful girl. The showroom won't be quite the same without you.

✨ A Returning Client, A Reimagined Home ✨
It was a pleasure to work with our clients once again as they transformed their home with a thoughtfully designed extension, creating a more open and functional space for modern family living.
The brief was to design a contemporary kitchen, utility and boot room that seamlessly connected with the wider living areas. At the heart of the design sits a striking island featuring rich timber textures and a beautifully detailed, curved stone worktop. A structural column, essential to the extension, was cleverly incorporated into the island design, becoming a feature rather than a compromise.

This contemporary kitchen and utility space was created as part of our client’s new extension, balancing sophisticated design with practical everyday living.
A bespoke banquette seating area creates a relaxed social zone away from the formal dining table — perfect for busy mornings, casual family meals and entertaining.
To keep the space beautifully streamlined, tall pocket door cabinetry was designed with bespoke internal storage to conceal everyday appliances whilst remaining effortlessly practical for the whole family.
The separate utility and boot room continues the calm, considered aesthetic with integrated seating, hidden storage and dedicated functional zones to support day-to-day family life.
