We have 3 VERY different workshops coming up in the next few weeks that we hope will be of interest to you.
Saturday 23rd May - Kathleen Laurel Sage will be back with us teaching beautiful Sequin Embroidery.
Friday 29th May - Polly is helping you through the tricky stages of accurate patchwork blocks.
Friday 5th June - Maddie will be teaching you how to make a sewing machine mat with pockets, a very useful item.

On 23rd May why not come and learn the unusual craft technique of sequin embroidery wirh Kathleen Laurel Sage to make a stunning flower wreath of sparkling dimensional sequin flowers. There are many pretty colours of sequins available that we tend to overlook or think of as child's play b you can learn how to choose the right sequins and the right sequences of sequins to make different types of large and small raised flowers that stand proud of the fabric. They can be worked directly on to a fabric within the hoop or worked individually to make stunning sparkling jewellery such as broaches . This class is ideal for those who want to try something new and a little bit different as well as embroiderers who want to add some razzmatazz to their future embroidery projects . Design layouts for placement of your flowers will make sure your flowers bloom and demonstrations throughout the day will give you a full understanding of this unusual but modern eye catching craft.

On Saturday 25th April we are re-starting our beginners patchwork course. Once a month for 3 months you will learn how to measure and accurately cut the fabric, sew with a 1/4 " seam allowance and learn how to sew professionally with perfect points. Learn new terminology such as log cabin and half square triangles. Finish off by making 3 beautiful cushions in fabrics of your choice. Call us on 01480 891746 to book your place.
