Happy Tuesday
Hope you all had a ‘whale’ of a time over the bank holiday weekend and not suffering too much from the heat if your further south then us here.
Just a fun little needle felted piece to try and get me back into it.
This little chap will be heading over to The Portsoy Gift Box at some point, I just need to try and finish a coo.

So the little glimpse I gave you this morning of my crochet is now off the hook, I didn’t have much left to do on it today so was pretty determined to finish it.
Just a classic baby blanket in cream, it’s been a while since I’ve made a blanket, they’re always one of my favourites to put on the hook I must admit.

Happy Monday ☀️
We’ve definitely not had the levels of sunshine that some of you have had but just now I’m happy about that as I’m doing so well with heat.
I’ve had a fairly chilled few days here ,although I’ve been working on a bit of everything.
A moment to weave, a pinch of crochet and even a dash of needle felting.
My heads a bit of a whirl just now with new projects and dare I say I started a new one! I’ve also a shawl on a hook which will get worked on as and when.
Things are about to get interesting as my next stage of treatment starts tomorrow, so I’ve no clue how much I’ll actually get done, if any!
I’ll still be here though 🩷but just now I’m priority.

Happy Saturday
I must admit I’m glad to see the weekend after a busy week of appointments.
A little while back a lovely lady messaged me about ordering a woven scarf, I really don’t tend to take orders on these but i couldn’t say no to this one as it will be for a wedding later in the year.
I’ve finally got it on the loom and my customer is aware this may take longer than usual, but I am excited to work on it.
💛please note my order book is remaining closed for the next few months at least maybe longer and unfortunately just now I won’t take anything on so not to disappoint anyone or add pressure onto myself.💛

Happy Wednesday
A lovely customer came back to me asking for a pink shawl after a bit of a search for the right yarn with the right pink we got there. I’m hoping this is just right for her.
It is very pink but broken up with soft creams and greens running throughout.
This seemed to work up a lot finer even though it’s the same weighted yarn that I use for my shawls.
I’m not a pink lady but I do think it’s very pretty just incredibly pink 🩷
I’ve another shawl just started and a new make on another hook which is simple but pretty.

A little share this afternoon.. Beachcomber Crafts is run by a truly lovely lady called Suzy who helped me out yesterday with lifts to and from the hospital and stayed with me the whole day after what was a much longer day than expected too.
Suzy collects all her materials close to home and makes up the most beautiful pieces, her latest being these beautiful hanging decorations. But don’t take my words for it check out her page please she even does kits that can posted out which contain everything you need to decorate a box which I personally think would make such a fab inexpensive gift..a bit of Scottish seaglass for everyone.

Happy Tuesday
It’s a drizzly start to the morning but it’s fine I’m not going anywhere today. Just going to chill out with a bit of crochet.
Now my customer has seen her order and I gave her permission for me too share here’s the finished cardigan that I was asked to make up.
Once I got into this I enjoyed it, the sleeves are very puffy as per the pattern but I think they look great.
This took me a couple of attempts as the first yarn I tried out just wasn’t working up well at all. I’m incredibly particular on my yarns.
I definitely think I’ll make another, maybe in the same yarn or possibly different to see how it works.

After a long day this was such a lovely post to come home too. I’m so grateful to be part of such a lovely local shop as well as the bring a part of the makers movement.. pop over too the page too see all the amazing crafters involved 🩷

Happy Saturday
Looks like the sun may just be coming back out to play this morning even if it’s brief.
I have literally just sat and done the last few rows on my peacock shawl and popped it on my website. The colours really are glorious. Always love making these.
A little heads I’m due to have a small procedure done on Monday and then can’t drive for a few days so any orders off my website won’t be posted until Thursday or Friday so please keep that in mind.
I’ll update a bit more soon as my page may go a little quiet over the next few months. But I don’t want to bore you all.

Happy Thursday
Although it’s a dark drizzly morning the garden is so green with everything slowly coming back to life I just love watching it change.
Im currently sat with a coffee watching a woodpecker swinging around on the bird feeders pondering my day.
We may pop out for a bit then I’ll be working on the cardigan and a few more rows to another shawl.
