Myself and my family would like to thank our customers for another busy and productive year and wish them a merry Christmas and happy new year.

And to also add here is another big job we finished back in the summer where we were working on this conversion into a shooting lodge. We started off by self level the floors before we could start tiling the floors right through the whole building, we also tiled the toilet area from floor to roof.
All walls have been plasterboarded where we had to tape it and fill it all first before we could prime the walls and eventually paint them.

All varnished woodwork except the staircase steps has 3 coats of oil based varnish 1 gloss primer and two, the stair case steps was coated with 3 coats of waterbased floor varnish.

Recent job we just finished today where we stripped the off the original wallpaper, filled and lined the walls. For the frieze area we put on lincrusta wall paper and highlighted the details to make the pattern stand out more. The woodwork was also given a freshen up and finish it off with a really nice wallpaper that goes great with the ceiling and frieze colour.

A recent job I (Will) finished last month on a bathroom, I had to fill up a patch on the wall where the plumber needed access to to replace a boiler. I washed and prepped the room and filled the new plaster board with three coats of filler. When dry I sanded it smooth, sealed it with pva and put on a layer of 1200 grade lining paper. The room was painted with Dulux diamond eggshell and the woodwork with Dulux oil based satinwood.

Hey everyone, I really didn’t want to do this but I am wanting to address a rumour that has been going around that I have heard from a couple of people in passing now, on both occasions I have been asked how my dad is enjoying his retirement… he is not retired, he is still working full time with myself. If you here this rumour please could you let them know that that is not the case and that we are still very much in business and to keep us in mind if anyone is looking for a painter/decorator.

First job of the year completed last week, we replaced part of a ceiling and repaired a section of the coving, both of which were close to falling down.we started off by masking up some plastic sheeting to protect the wallpaper, we then carefully cut out the coving in sections to take it down and then proceeded to take down the loose part of the ceiling in sections to prevent causing any further damage to either. Once everything loose was down we patched the ceiling with plasterboard and glued up and screwed in place the coving with tile cement to hold it in place. The next day we made sure we got the rest of the ceiling stripped and filled ready for when we lined the ceiling using 1200 grade lining paper. To finish we put up the finishing paper and on the last day we gave it a couple of coats of white matt emulsion leaving the ceiling and coving looking as good as new.

A recent job I did for myself, decided to have a bit of a redesign of my bedroom whilst also adding in extra storage with a new wardrobe. I went for a bit of paneling with a shelf along the top, the shelf was scorched and had several coats of Danish oil to give it a nice natural finish. The paneling and coving colour is wild blackberry and the walls are Swedish white both from the dulux heritage range and good paint to work.
