Being present and experiencing the views and sunshine made painting this so much more relaxing than working from a photo. It's quite liberating not being able to *zoom in* and get caught up in the details.

Enjoying the beautiful scenery in Ilfracombe on a weekend away for my friend's wedding💍

I ventured up the coastal path to this viewpoint with my new watercolours (thanks mum!) to do some plein air painting 🖌️🎨

There's a eucalyptus tree in my old neighbours garden, and it was something I always thought about painting. The colours, the leaves, and most of all how it looked at sunset, were just so beautiful!

I did this piece a few years ago now, but it was one that really sparked me to paint trees more.

My style has grown a lot since then, but this will always stay as one of my favourites 🌿

After creating several paintings of water over the years (which gave me a real headache!) I'm so pleased with how this one came out. 🌊

From across the room it almost looks photorealistic, but I love the bold brush strokes and colours that you can see up close.
