We talk a lot about how a space looks, but how it makes you feel matters just as much.

This Mental Health Awareness week we are appreciating the quiet impact on our surroundings, a tactile bedroom with layers of soft upholstery, inviting lounges where the sofa is the heart of the room - designed for slowing down, streamlined and chaos free bathrooms to encourage a moment of pause.

Thoughtful interiors can play a small but meaningful part in our everyday wellbeing.

Scroll through to see the journey from start to finish;

Best part of our job is seeing our ideas go from cad drawings to seeing the results in the flesh, just like the kitchen tv area in this recent project.

Clients trusting that exposed brickwork would create a focal point - the room just wouldn’t have been as nice without it and that installing an open oak room divider, makes for more interesting display pieces.

A corner in our clients hall crying out for something big.

Here we chose a beautiful large sideboard to fill the space, shipped from the USA, it took its time but so worth the wait.

American artist Tara Kelley-Cruz’s art gave us the opportunity to hang these nine abstract pieces together, making a stunning centre-piece above the sideboard.

Our happy clients now have a useful storage place for their shoes and a corner of their hall looking it’s best.

A clever styling tip we love is placing a console table behind a sofa, or in this case a pair of armchairs.

It’s a great way to make use of what might otherwise feel like dead space, while also helping to soften the back of the seating and add another layer to the room - especially adding some height.

We styled this console with a lamp (make sure there’s a power socket within reach or use a portable lamp) fresh flowers, books and a few treasured pieces of our clients.
