Once the brown and white alpaca has been washed, use some of Gemma's combs to remove the prickly seeds. Washed fibers, then shortcuts and seeds, followed by nests of total softness. 50% rejects, but that's the price to pay for Excellence. Big thank You to , wonderful sets of combs and hackles. Fibres being prepared for our workshop at the East of Central guild of spinners, weavers and dyers on the first Saturday of August.

Bit of a disaster, a lot of the Lac Dye went away with the cleaning water, result is pretty, but not as deep as wanted. More heat, higher concentration of Allum, more curing required.
