The floor trend taking over homes and businesses 🙌🏻

Microcement floors are having a real moment right now, and once you see them in person, it's easy to understand why. Seamless, sleek and completely joint-free, they're popping up everywhere from kitchens and bathrooms to mud rooms and entryways.

Kitchens: Hard-wearing and stain-resistant, standing up to daily life without losing that sleek finish.
Bathrooms: Fully waterproof with zero grout lines for water or mould to creep into.
Mud rooms: Durable enough to handle muddy boots, wet dogs, and everything island life throws at it.

A recent project a little further afield, this holiday home in St Ives 🏖️

This project was finished in a lime based plaster with gold mica running throughout, adding a subtle shimmer that catches the light beautifully as it moves across the room. The soft, breathable texture of the lime plaster suits the relaxed, coastal feel of the space perfectly, while the gold mica brings just the right amount of warmth and depth without overpowering the room.

The pairing we're loving right now ✨

What exactly is clay based plaster? 🌿

It's one of the most natural finishes we offer, but what actually goes into it? Clay plaster is made from natural clay, sand and pigments, with no synthetic binders or added chemicals. It's applied by hand in layers to build up a soft, textured, breathable surface.

Unlike standard paint, clay plaster naturally helps regulate humidity in a room, making it a genuinely practical choice as well as a beautiful one, especially for island homes.

The result is a warm, earthy, tactile finish that brings real character to a space and no two walls are ever finished quite the same.
