Balnain Bears I'm based in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. In my little corner of calm, I spin my own yarn, knit bespoke bears, coos & other animals.

I also knit unique, one off hats, scarves & wrist warmers. I also dye small batches of yarn, all 100% wool.

Last year I took hubby on the Glen ferry for a birthday treat over to Skye. The little ferry is the only existing turntable ferry. Because of some out dated rule of having to pay the landowner a fee it might have to stop running. Please take a minute & sign the petition so it can be heard in Parliament. Thank you.

This ten minute crossing is famous around the world - and is believed to be the last turntable style ferry anywhere. It's an iconic part of Skye's history, but the ferry's operator says its future may be under threat. Under "right to ferry" rules, the Glenelg to Skye ferry and tearoom - who employ a...

Tomorrow is baby loss awareness day. Please light a candle at 7pm in memory of Baby Oliver & all the babies born sleeping or taken to soon. xx

On Thursday 15th October, Ness Bridge will be illuminated pink and blue to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week. πŸ’—πŸ’™

Now in its 23rd year, Baby Loss Awareness Week is a time for bereaved parents, families and friends to remember babies who died during pregnancy, at or soon after birth, and in infancy.

Lighting Ness Bridge pink and blue is a small but meaningful way for Inverness to remember these much-loved babies and the families who carry their loss with them, while helping to raise awareness and break the silence around baby loss.

The 15th also marks the Wave of Light, when people are invited to light a candle at 7pm and leave it burning for at least an hour in remembrance. πŸ•―οΈ

Yesterday my mother would of been 100 years young. Today Oliver Bear help to celebrate our mums birthday with my sisters & niece. They weren't particularly well behaved, but then they never have been. Being the youngest in the family, it's no wonder I've turned out a little unhinged. 🀣 x
