We are Closing Due to Retirement!
This summer, the time has come for us to say goodbye to our lovely little shop. For almost 25 years we’ve loved the work we’ve done, but it’s time for a new chapter. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s ever been a part of Material Worth, everyone who’s worked here, who’d helped us or who’s just called in for a chat, and to all our customers, whether we’ve done every window in your house three times over, or you’ve bought one cushion, we’re grateful to you all. Some of you we’ve known long enough that we’ve made curtains for your childhood bedroom and your first home, we feel so privileged to have been part of making your homes beautiful in any way we can.
This shop has always been more than just curtains to us and even though we’re sad to say goodbye, we’re going out on a high and on our own terms. These days it’s harder than ever to earn a living on the high street, and even though there are some great companies on the internet, it’s more important than ever to support local shops whenever you can, small business owners have spent years learning everything there is to know in our specialist areas and that knowledge is lost when shops close, so please, once we’re gone continue to shop local and support the brilliant shops we still have left.
If you would like to order curtains or blinds before we go, please do so before the 10th of April, all current orders on our books will be completed within the original timescale. If you’d like to help us out in our last few weeks, PLEASE come and buy some fabric or cushions or tiebacks or poles from our large range of remaining stock and tell all your friends to do the same, we’re offering great discounts on all remaining items.
