We are a family owned and run business.We have been trading from these same premises for over 43 years and our business has grown through personal recommendations.We are the only Kendal antiques shop to have twice been independantly recommended in the BBC Homes and Antiques magazine.

Val and Steve of The Silver Thimble Antiques would like to wish all their valued customers a happy and healthy 2026.
2025 marked our 50th anniversary of trading in Kendal and we are humbled and grateful for the support we have received over the years from customers both local and world wide. We value each and every person who comes through our door whether they spend £1 or £1000 or simply express their enjoyment of our displays.We recognise that they have chosen to spend their hard earned money in our shop and we are extremely grateful.
December 2025 proved to be our best trading month ever with an unbelievable increase of nearly 100 percent. We cannot thank you all enough.
May 2026 be kind to you and we hope to continue serving you during the upcoming months.
