ILEAP works with people aged from 4 years and over and delivers a children's programme, a youth programme and an adult programme of inclusive leisure activities. ILEAP members generally have a mild / moderate learning disability although anyone with Additional Needs is welcome to join.

🌻 Can You Help Us Create a Cascade of Sunflowers for Ukraine? 🌻

Can you crochet, knit, sew, craft, or simply imagine and create beautiful sunflowers?

We are looking for volunteers to help us make thousands of handcrafted sunflowers for a moving Cascade of Sunflowers that will accompany a photographic exhibition celebrating Ukraine. The project will raise vital funds and keep attention on the ongoing need to support a country in great need.

🌻 The Blooms

Each sunflower should be as unique as the individuals who have sacrificed their lives in defence of their country. Whether you are an expert crafter or an enthusiastic beginner, we warmly welcome your help.

Please follow these simple guidelines, while letting your creativity shine:

• Petals in shades of yellow, gold, or light orange
• A brown centre
• Optional green leaves
• Diameter between 5 cm and 20 cm
• Must be sturdy enough to be attached to wire mesh or fabric, as the exhibition will travel across Warwickshire
• Materials can include: yarn (crocheted or knitted), fabric, ribbon, pipe cleaners, or rag

Patterns and links can be provided if needed, or feel free to design your own.

We kindly ask for all completed blooms by 17 January 2026, although receiving them earlier would be greatly appreciated.
