More new kit!

We’ve just received our first batch of L-Acoustics X8 speakers, adding another option to our L-Acoustics inventory.

The X8 is a compact point-source speaker that packs plenty of punch into a small package. Its coaxial design gives it really consistent coverage, making it a great option for everything from stage monitors and front fills to smaller PA systems.

We’ve chosen the X8 because of its versatility and the quality you’d expect from L-Acoustics, giving us another really useful option for a wide range of productions.

Our flight cases are on the way, and as soon as they arrive, the X8s will be ready to go out on their first jobs and available for hire!

Out with the old, in with the new! 👀

We’ve just unboxed our first Avolites D3-110, and Tom and Lola have jumped straight onto programming it, ready for use on a festival stage to put it through its paces. Once it has their approval, we’ll be adding more to stock!

The Quartz have been great, but we’ve decided it’s time to upgrade.

The D3-110 gives us 24 native DMX universes, more processing power and the latest Titan platform, along with a few new tricks like the built-in Capture Engine, SMPTE and expanded networking options.

We’re looking forward to seeing what Tom and Lola can do with it on a proper festival job. If it gets their approval, expect to see a few more of these joining our rental stock!

Classic British bank holiday weather ☔

It’s certainly not the ideal weather for an outdoor rig, but the Main stage at Camper Calling Festival is coming together nicely!

We’re back at the Lakeside Stage, working with our friends Urban Audio Productions. We’ll be providing the video package for this year’s festival, including ROE VisualLED screens, a Panasonic Broadcast & Pro AV Europecamera package, Panasonic Kairos and Barco E3.

Hopefully the weather improves as the weekend goes on, but either way, we’ll be ready for the music!

Chauvet Demo Day!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Dave and Chris from CHAUVET Professional UK into our warehouse last week, they brought a huge selection of fixtures from across the whole Chauvet range, including the Ovation, WELL and Maverick series.

There was plenty to get hands on with, but a few fixtures in particular caught our attention. The new Maverick Force X Profile packs a very impressive brightness into a compact moving profile, with a 3.5°–57.3° zoom, CMY colour mixing and a full framing system.

The WELL Panel X also stood out, offering a battery-powered, IP65-rated solution with RGBWW sources, tunable 2800–6500K CCT and up to 18 hours of runtime. A particularly useful addition for productions where quick deployment and flexibility are key.

We also got to see the Ovation Rêve F-3 IP, a motorised Fresnel featuring Chauvet’s full-spectrum RGBAM engine, CRI 96, an extensive zoom range and an adjustable yoke for flexible positioning.

Thanks to Dave and Chris for bringing the range along and taking us through it! It was a great opportunity to get hands-on with some of Chauvet latest tech and see what these fixtures can offer in real-world production environments.

Astera QuikSpot, now in rental stock!

This versatile, battery-powered unit can be used as a Fresnel or spotlight, but where we think it really shines is as an uplighter.
The yoke features foldable feet, making it easy to set up as an uplighter, while the built-in TiltMeter is a great tool for accurate positioning, helping you get your fixtures exactly where you need them.

We’ll be sending these out in cases of 8, complete with a ChargingPlate and PrepBox, making setup, configuration and deployment a breeze whether you’re in the warehouse or out on site.

With an IP65 rating, completely wireless operation and up to 20 hours of battery life, QuikSpot is well suited to both indoor and outdoor applications. From washing walls in a conference room to creating dramatic architectural lighting outdoors, it’s a seriously versatile fixture.

A look back at the rig as we prepared for two weeks of University Graduation ceremonies. 🎓

Our team delivered the video solution for the event. With Panasonic Kairos managing the live production workflow and Brompton Technology Tessera LED processors driving the 7m x 4m ROE Visual Ruby LED wall, the system feeds the main auditorium screen, displays across campus and the live stream throughout the ceremonies. Image capture comes from four Panasonic AW-UE160 PTZ cameras and two Panasonic AK-UC4000 studio cameras, creating a fully integrated Panasonic workflow.

A big thank you to the team at Knights Events Crew, along with our brilliant freelance crew, for another smooth install. It was also great to have our Live Event Technician Apprentice, Lola, on site, gaining more hands-on experience as part of the crew. 🙏

With the ceremonies now underway, we'd like to wish everyone graduating over the next two weeks the very best as they celebrate such a fantastic achievement. 👏

Preparing Panasonic Kairos for its next production. 🎛️

Our team has been busy configuring a complete Panasonic live production system ahead of two weeks of University Graduation ceremonies.

At the heart of the system is Panasonic Kairos, a powerful live video platform built around an IP-based architecture, supporting workflows including SMPTE ST 2110 for flexible, scalable broadcast and event production.

Alongside four Panasonic AW-UE160 PTZ cameras and two Panasonic AK-UC4000 studio cameras, the system will deliver multiple outputs throughout the venue, feeding the main auditorium screens, displays across campus and the live stream, all from a single integrated Panasonic workflow.

Tropic Fest 2026! What an incredible weekend! ☀️🎪

We were back on site supporting Pandora Events and Tropic Skincare with full technical production for an unforgettable weekend of live music, DJs and entertainment across two stages.

Over 4,000 Tropic Ambassadors came together to enjoy this unique festival experience, with cold water swimming, hot tubs, yoga, facials, funfair rides, great food and plenty of bars!

Here are a few photo highlights from the Saturday which featured Nathan Dawe, who brought the party with an incredible DJ set, joined by a brand ambassador Alison Hammond on the decks! Diversity had the crowd captivated with an amazing performance, before Ministry of Sound - Classical closed out the evening with huge dance anthems, stunning visuals and plenty of lasers.

Across both stages, we supplied ROE Visual CB5 LED screens powered by Brompton Technology processors, along with a full camera package featuring Panasonic Broadcast & Pro AV Europe AK-UC4000s and AW-UE160 PTZs, all brought together with Panasonic Kairos.

Audio was delivered via L-Acoustic PA systems with Shure Axient wireless microphones. Lighting was controlled using a GrandMA3 on the Main Stage and an Avolites Quartz on the Second Stage, driving more than 170 fixtures from Ayrton, ROBE lighting, SGM, Roxx and Martin.

With seven days on site and temperatures soaring throughout the week, a huge thank you goes out to everyone who worked so hard to bring this event together. We couldn't be prouder of the whole team. 🙏
