Choosing a blind should feel like a lovely part of creating your home.

Perhaps you know the colours you love, but aren’t sure which pattern to choose. Or you need something to sit happily alongside existing curtains and furnishings.

We’ll help you bring those choices together, measure your window and handsew your Roman blind in our Fable & Willow workroom. We then fit it for you, complete with a child-safe headrail.

For this snug, a soft patterned stripe and handsewn pom-pom trim brought just the right balance of colour and charm.

A new chapter for a favourite chair
Sometimes, one beautiful fabric is all it takes to fall in love with a piece of furniture again.

Working alongside our upholsterer, we gave this armchair a fresh chapter in Tapestry Garden in Old Pink by Colefax & Fowler a firm Fable favourite.

Its tumbling flowers and soft greens echo the English country garden beyond the window, bringing a little of the outdoors into this welcoming corner.

A rose cushion adds that lovely finishing touch.
There’s such pleasure in seeing an existing piece become part of a new scheme, ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

DIY SOS is back on our screens tonight!

You may have heard us talking about the very special project we were lucky enough to be involved in and we are so excited that the new series is finally beginning.
Emma, Clemmie and Gemma joined an extraordinary team of designers, makers, tradespeople and volunteers in Bewdley, all working together to create a life-changing home for a local family.
Our episode will be shown on 27 October at 8pm on BBC One, so make sure you save the date!

“Many homeowners worry about making the wrong decisions when decorating a period home.”

Decorating an older home can feel overwhelming.
There are fabrics to choose, paint colours to decide on, lighting to consider, and often furniture that you’d still love to keep.

n this Worcester home, we worked closely with the clients to guide the process from start to finish.
Together we:
• selected fabrics for bespoke soft furnishings�• reupholstered and repurposed furniture they already loved�• met with the decorator to guide paint colours�• created sample boards to help visualise the scheme�• explored lighting to soften the atmosphere of the room
Many of our conversations happened in the evening after work, talking through ideas so each decision felt calm and considered.

The result is a room that still honours the character of the house but now feels layered, welcoming, and beautifully pulled together.
Exactly as it should.
