Well I haven't posted anything for a while as things and life have been a priority, but I'm pretty sure this is a good one to come back with. With this we were asked to recreate the original design that was approximately 100 years old. We prepared the subfloor with jumpax underfloor system as we were prohibited from mechanically fixing the subfloor, then with tiles we cut the 12"×12" tiles into this design.

I did this job a few months back, I was asked by the customer to replicate the first image in the hallway and to fit a nice straight lay plank in the kitchen. The customer had asked for a feature to pull in some colours from the kitchen, a border was suggested as were many other designs but after showing the customer a design by they loved the idea of some hand made hexagons cut from tiles.
The hallway was marmoleum tiles cut down to 12"x12" laid on a 45° and some tiles cut into strips for the border and a bespoke curve around the step.

Karndean art select Blonde oak herringbone with a walnut design strip, with a bespoke curved border to follow the curve of the kitchen and just soften the mitres on the corners. This job needed alot of subfloor preparation as the floor dipped nearly 90mm in one area and was floorboards in another. So .uk products were used to bulk up the subfloor and over the floorboards and then a final coat of .uk K40 for a perfectly flat and smooth finish.

A nice job done last week. Customer wanted a herringbone floor from another manufacturer but were let down and chose a straight lay plank instead. I suggested laying it on a 45° to add a different dimension.
Ended with a very happy customer!
