🕯️ A Match Made by Makers 🏺

At the Queen's Park Food Festival we had the pleasure of meeting fellow Scottish maker Whitney Choi of MacChoi Pottery, and we couldn’t resist pairing some of our handcrafted candles with his stunning ceramic candle holders.

Handmade in Glasgow, Whitney’s pottery combines beautiful organic forms, unique glazes and exceptional craftsmanship, creating pieces that are every bit as individual as the homes they end up in.

We think our hand-poured Scottish soy wax candles sit perfectly within these gorgeous ceramic holders, creating a beautiful centrepiece that’s as much about design as it is fragrance.

There’s something special about bringing together the work of two independent makers who genuinely care about quality, craftsmanship and creating products that people love.

What an amazing day at Queen’s Park Food & Drink Festival! ☀️💙

The sun was shining, the park was buzzing and it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces as well as lots of new customers discovering LumieScents for the first time.

Our food & drink-inspired scents were definitely stealing the spotlight today! 🍹🍋🍒

🥃 Barra (Rhubarb & Ginger Gin) was the tipple of the day.
🍋 Lemon Fizz flew out the door as everyone’s sweet treat favourite.
🍒 Fara (Rhubarb, Cherries & Mint) was a huge hit with its sweet, juicy and uplifting scent.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, a sniff and a browse. Your support means the world to our small family business. ❤️

Queen’s Park… what a first day!🥹💙

From the first coffee poured this morning to the last song drifting across the park this evening, today has been something special!

The international street food, the independent bars, the packed chef demos, the live music, the buzzing artisan markets - and of course the Dog Show and Chilli Challenge energy - it all came together beautifully!

But what really made it was you😍

A huge thank you to everyone who came down, supported our incredible local traders, cheered on the entertainment and filled the park with such a brilliant atmosphere and to our traders, chefs, musicians and crew - we couldn’t do this without you!

If you missed today, don’t worry. We’re back tomorrow from 10am and ready to do it all again💙

Round two starts 10am tomorrow morning and we can’t wait! 💫

As we wrap up another incredible week in we just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand.

We've sold candles, diffusers, wax melts, perfumes and our wax flower bouquets, but one of the things we'll remember most is the people we've met throughout the week.

We've met customers from all over Scotland, including our home town of Kilmarnock, and even visitors from Skye and Barra – some of the very islands that inspired our scent names. We've chatted with people from Ireland, America and beyond, heard some wonderful stories, and shared plenty of laughs along the way.

We've laughed and caught up with the amazing John Lewis team, congratulated Maggie for her award win of "Retail Consultant of the Year", we wished a huge happy birthday to Rae and found ourselves invited along to her birthday party in the staff bar.

Thank you to every customer who stopped for a chat, every member of staff who made us feel welcome, ind!e pop-up for making it happen and everyone who has supported LumieScents throughout the week.

🌟 A huge thank you to Councillor Graham Boyd for taking the time to visit our Kilmarnock shop and for his kind words about what we're trying to create here at LumieScents.

As a family-run business born and raised in Kilmarnock, it means a lot to be part of the town centre and alongside so many other passionate local businesses who are working hard to make Kilmarnock a fantastic place to shop, visit and support local.

We're incredibly grateful for the support we've received since opening our doors and we're excited about what's still to come!
