There’s a growing wave of panic online saying that woodburning stoves are being outlawed - but the facts say otherwise.
The UK government recently confirmed
under the upcoming Future Homes
Standard (FHS) that wood-burning stoves will still be permitted as a secondary heating source in new homes.

Before and after . Beautiful fireplace Grocott & Murfit . Hunter herald in Burnham market Thinking about having a wood burner installed before winter? A stove can make your room feel warm and cosy, and gives you another way to heat your home when you don’t want to turn the central heating on. For homes that rely on oil or LPG, it can also provide an alternative source of heat. And if you buy seasoned logs locally, you can plan ahead for the colder months. Fuel prices and running costs vary, so it’s always worth looking at what suits your home and how you’ll use the stove. Thinking about a wood burner? Get in touch with Firingsquad and we’ll be happy to talk through your options.
