The sweetest little downstairs shower room from our Devon River Lodge project.

Proof that even the smallest spaces can feel special. Handmade tiles and brass details that will age beautifully over time.

Last summer we completed this beautiful Devon River Lodge, a project that will always hold a special place in my heart.

Set against the most peaceful riverside backdrop, the brief was to create a home that felt rooted in its surroundings. Calm, layered and quietly luxurious, with natural textures, gentle tones and thoughtful details throughout.

This post shares just a glimpse of the full story. You can explore the complete project over on my website. I would love to know which space you are most drawn to.

For all the neutral and cottage lovers, this one really is for you. Set within the most beautiful thatched cottage, a home that was once dark, gloomy and a little gothic, it is now a true reflection of what we are known for, calm, timeless and beautiful.

Designed alongside Teresa Hunt, this kitchen was created to feel simple, warm and genuinely liveable, using beautiful materials, soft tones and details that feel like home.

We kept this sitting room simple and true to this extremely cute cottage. The layout was adjusted so the windows could take their place, then everything else followed naturally. Comfortable seating, soft tones, and materials that sit quietly alongside the stone and timber.

Nothing overworked, nothing trying too hard. Just a room that feels balanced, calm, and easy to live in.

Part of our Devon River Lodge project, carefully designed to sit quietly within its setting and stand the test of time.

We’re so pleased to share the first glance from the renovation of a thatched river lodge in Devon. The dining room felt like the right place to begin, one of the first spaces you step into when you arrive.

The farmhouse table and Windsor chairs are antiques we sourced specially, pieces that carry their own stories and sit so comfortably here. The soft jute rug softens the limestone floor and linen curtains frame the pretty windows in an easy, relaxed way.

One of my favourite details is the painting above the fireplace , which is a painting of the lodge by .mallett , a friend of our clients. It adds such a personal note and makes a great conversation starter at dinner.

A gentle start to a project we can’t wait to show you more of.

Hard to believe this lovely bathroom was once two small, awkward rooms.

We opened it up to create a bathroom that feels calm and considered, with a softness that suits the house. Gentle colours, proper materials and a layout that now makes sense. The bath sits happily under the eaves, the walk in shower feels tucked away, and the vanity gives that little moment of symmetry we love.

Part of our Shropshire family home project, full of charm, and quietly thought through.

A quiet and functional boot room, recently completed as part of a wider renovation of a Herefordshire farmhouse. Grounded in traditional joinery and natural materials, it was designed to feel useful yet welcoming from the moment you walk in. The stone flags, painted cabinetry and aged brass touches come together simply, with room for everything from boots and baskets to cut flowers from the garden. We’re back working on more of the house this year and feeling very lucky to continue the story.

I had the chance to revisit Redgate House recently during an open day and it felt like the perfect time to share this project again. Designed with at Border Oak, the brief was grounded in Arts and Crafts principles — timeless, honest and beautifully made.

We kept the palette soft and neutral, then brought in rich blues, warm reds and some favourite William Morris prints to add depth and character. Materials like wood and stone give the house a sense of permanence, while handmade and carefully sourced pieces add warmth and texture.

It is a home that feels both rooted and quietly contemporary, and it was a real pleasure to see it again.

A calm and thoughtful master en-suite bathroom, shaped by our ethos from the very beginning. Timeless, elegant and carefully designed, it has been reimagined from what was once two rooms. The shower enclosure forms a quiet bath nook, where the window is beautifully framed. A soft palette of natural materials brings warmth and depth, while every detail has been chosen to feel lasting and rooted in its setting. The vanity was crafted by my brother , making it all the more special.

And for a little something extra, there is a steam room in the shower, because why not?!

Rediscovering past projects while working on new ones and came across this charming bathroom from a listed Black & White Cottage in the Herefordshire countryside. Timeless, elegant, and as beautiful as ever.
