✨ What a transformation! ✨

Look at that beautiful detailing 😍 There’s something of interest from every angle of this piece!

This solid oak cabinet had such a dark heavy stain and original leaded glass doors. I wanted to bring all that beautiful oak and carved detailing back to life, whilst giving it a much lighter, more contemporary feel.

The transformation included:

🤎 Removing the original leaded glass and replacing it with cane webbing
🤎 Fully stripping back the old stained and varnished finish
🤎 Using a paint wash to create this gorgeous light oak effect, allowing the natural grain to show through
🤎 A professional spray finish using Polyvine varnish for a smooth, durable and hard-wearing finish
🤎 Finished with new handles to complete the look

The result is a completely one-of-a-kind piece of made-to-last furniture — full of character, beautiful craftsmanship and details you simply can’t find on the high street.

This is exactly why I love working with quality antique furniture. Rather than replacing it, you can transform something with incredible bones into something that feels completely at home in a modern interior. 🤍

And yes, I could do something similar for you! Whether you have a piece of your own that needs transforming or you’re looking for something special, get in touch and we can chat about what’s possible. ✨

From orangey and modern to classy and traditional 🤎

Swipe to see the before 👀

My client was moving into an older property and wanted their bedroom set to feel more in keeping with a traditional, classic style. The original pieces were high-quality solid oak, but the finish was looking a little tired and dated.
The Transformation:
• Stripped away the old, worn varnish back to raw wood.
• Stained in a rich walnut shade to add warmth, depth, and character.
• Sealed with Polyvine Ltd for a durable, smooth finish.

Buying new isn't always the answer when quality pieces just need a bit of TLC 👌 Reusing solid wood furniture saves great craftmanship from going to waste while creating something totally bespoke for your home.

I can transform your existing furniture to suit a new home or style update, or I can source quality pieces and refinish them in a finish of your choice. Just drop me a message to get started ☺️

A Stag Minstrel bedroom set, given a whole new look ✨

This was a recent project for a client who already owned the 3-drawer chest. I sourced two matching 3-over-2 chests to complete the set 🤍

Sprayed in fusionmineralpaintuk ‘Cashmere’, with the wooden tops bleached and then stained to reduce the red mahogany tones and get a natural wood finish. Then everything was sealed with 3 coats of Polyvine varnish for an ultimate durability.

I love giving good-quality furniture a new lease of life rather than letting it go to waste.👌🏻

Love this look? I can source the same Stag pieces and create this finish for you too. Just drop me a message 🤍

My most recent commission piece, delivered to a very happy client earlier this week 🤎

This beautiful oak sideboard was stripped back to remove the old orange finish, then given a soft paint wash using Fusion Mineral Paint UK “Algonquin” to enhance the natural grain while creating a more modern look. I also added decorative bobbin trim to the drawer fronts and polished the original handles to complete the transformation.

A truly unique, bespoke piece with character and quality that’s hard to find in modern furniture. If you’d love something similar in your home, I can create a bespoke piece tailored to your style and space ✨

Available 🤩👀

This beautiful solid oak sideboard has just arrived in the workshop and is available to reserve for a bespoke makeover ✨

This piece has some truly lovely details. The barley twist legs, decorative scalloped apron and carved frieze running beneath the top all add character and craftsmanship that’s difficult to find in modern furniture. Once refinished, these features will really come into their own, creating a statement piece that feels both timeless and unique.

The current plan is to strip back the existing finish and enhance the stunning oak grain with a warm, earthy stain similar to the ones pictured, along with simple pendant handles. However, if you’d like to reserve it, there is still time to discuss alternative finishes and make it your own. I could also add bobbin trim to the doors & drawers.

A fantastic statement piece with plenty of storage and beautiful period detailing throughout.

Message me if you’d like more information or would like to secure it before work begins ☺️.
