CONNECT: I bought Tendrils from on our slow way to Cornwall. I started reading excitedly after a long day of art and walking and nature with the back of my legs thick with Porthminster sand as we caught the last of the day's heat. I say to Joe, this book is by women of colour. I already know this will be more than I'd hoped for. It's funny how things draw you to them in a strange pull. How circumstances come together to be exactly what you needed at exactly the right time. I wanted to dog ear every page. Poems instantly re-read eagerly. Poems written as I read, starting points, middle points and fully formed. Thank you Fieldnotes Collective .press
It was a wonderful trip to disconnect and at the same time feel so connected to what's important. We're now back from our trip reunited with Benson cat, our garden, and recently woodfired pots that I'm enjoying spending some time with again. We also brought a mug by .jackson.pottery and a bowl by
SPACE: We had the pleasure of visiting and really enjoyed engaging with Your Space by .anna.log (thanks Anna!) and being immersed in the world of Alexandra Kusuba. It also felt like a magical pilgrimage following the path of Barbara Hepworth - we spent lots of time immersed in her space. Visiting space was another highlight for us, we loved seeing the work of Akiko Hirai.

We have spools of film ready to be developed where most of our visual observations from the trip are held... 👀 which hopefully contain rocks, shadows and seaweed.
