This is a late Victorian Carrara Marble surround with Rouge embellishments and a break-fronted breast plate. We fitted this for our lovely customers with an Ecoflame Wide-Bodied stove, on a honed granite hearth set and added an antique cast iron trim around the internal.
Quite diminutive in stature, the proportions of the surround make the stove look even more imposing. We love!🔥

Here, we have a period slate surround (circa 1890), around a superb Victorian insert (with original Barbotine tiles in delicious tones of rust, olive, burgundy and cream).

The surround retains its original Trompe L’Oeil marbled finish which is in remarkably good condition.

These usually require stripping but this one is simply too good to lose!

Measuring 60” at the mantel and 46” in height. It is pictured on a 66” hearth but will fit perfectly on a 60” (or 54” at a push).

A stunning and rare example of craftsmanship that is unparalleled in modern times!
