Well it’s not a day for much out there! midges an endless rain… Summer in the Highlands! so a good day for messing with wool. Current work in progress , it will be a lovely bumble bee in a garden, Inspired by Strathpeffer’s beautiful garden open day yesterday .

It reminded me of the Peter rabbit garden I did a few years ago after visiting it in the lakes ❤️ this piece was wet felted first then detail added, rather than fully needle-felted like I do now.

Edit- bee pic is now complete , much cheerier than the rain!

Latest piece complete. I’ve decided to do a collection of game birds, so last night I finished my red legged partridge. I’m going to complete this set then move onto some dogs, starting with our own crew. My work will be focussed on 2d needle felting, mostly portraits with some landscapes occasionally do a change! I’ve a new instagram page for anyone interested in what I make, can’t get into my old profile on there.

Sheesh…5years off! Didn’t realise it and been so long. Limited colour palate at the moment so Autumn by the river seemed a good shout. I have a ptarmigan piece to finish that I started 3 years ago so maybe I’ll do some more today … time to find time for hobbies again.

Finally managed to make something again!!! Just needs a frame. Rainbow highland cow on dark blue check Harris tweed.
