Already have a kitchen design… but not 100% sure about it? 🤔

You don’t necessarily need to start again.

I’m seeing more people who already have a kitchen plan from a retailer, but want an independent second opinion before they place the order.

I can review your existing design and look at the things that aren’t always obvious on a plan — awkward corners, appliance positions, clearances, storage, worktop space, door clashes and those little details that can make a big difference once the kitchen is fitted.

Sometimes a design only needs a few small changes to make it work much better.

Good kitchen design is about making the most of the space you have. 🌿

This recent RH Designs project was all about creating a kitchen that feels warm, welcoming and works brilliantly day to day.

We’ve combined soft sage shaker cabinetry with timber worktops, classic metro tiles and open shelving to create a relaxed, timeless look — while making sure there’s plenty of storage and usable worktop space.

I particularly love how this one has come together. It feels like a kitchen that belongs in the home, rather than something designed purely for a photograph.

A good kitchen design isn't about fitting the most units into a room.

It's about making the whole space work.

This recent project is a great example.

Rather than automatically placing a large island in the centre of the room, I explored how the kitchen, dining and living areas would actually interact.

The result was an angled peninsula that creates a natural divide between the kitchen and dining space, provides seating and additional worktop space, while still keeping the room open towards the relaxed TV area.

It's a slightly unconventional solution — and that's exactly the point.

Every room is different. Every household is different. Your kitchen design should be too.

**Kitchen planning question… 👀**

If you're currently planning a new kitchen, what's the ONE thing you're finding hardest to decide?

I speak to so many people who start off thinking choosing the kitchen will be the difficult part… then realise there are about **427 other decisions to make** 😂

**A pretty kitchen is easy. A kitchen that actually works takes a bit more thought. 👌**

This is a recent RH Kitchen Design project — designed around how the client actually wants to use the space, not just how good it looks in a render.

We worked through layout, storage, proportions, seating and all the little practical details that are much easier (and cheaper!) to get right **before the kitchen is ordered.**

The end result? A kitchen that feels considered, balanced and properly thought through — while still looking pretty special. 😍
