Can’t wait to visit the new space at Loveable Vogue Boutique! Seriously cool vibes going on, and inclusive creative space ✌️

"It's taken 10 months to get it here but I'm really happy to say that we're finally sitting in Loveable Vogue Boutique

First and foremost, this is a creative space, it's inclusive, where absolutely anybody is welcome. We have the boutique where you can find something to wear, you'll be here a while though because there's clothes for any style, and shoes! I'm slowly adding to my mens section too. We now have a record shop which was never the plan, we have CDs too, so many CDs. Music memorabilia, vintage posters, classic magazines (I saw one from 1995). I'd also like to hold small intimate events down here, it's a place where music, art and fashion will exist.

This journey began 7 years ago, I was writing about a place, I was looking for a "feeling" after working in bars, restaurants and events, I wanted to create an environment with all the positives of these places. But it needed to have soul. Upstairs at Unique & Antique, you can have a gander at Karens wares, then come down here and have a nose or just chill and have a chat. This is only the foundations of something beautiful and very special.

Everybody who's came in has said they've felt chilled and that's amazing because this is "a lot" but they'll then say, like you have, that it's overwhelming but in a good way and I think that's because they've never experienced a place like this because there's nothing out there in Fife like it. It's a sanctuary, it's warmth, it's acceptance, it's whatever you make of it or need it for. In the future, I want it to be a place people can come together and create.

It's loud, it's colourful but you wouldn't feel the same way if it was beige, we live in a world where the places that you're supposed to relax look like the inside of a waiting room. I didn't want this feeling "clinical". This is a curated mess, it's supposed to look this way. My brain is a mess, but that is why this place looks the way it does!

The beach has always been my escape, but this magical place here is another place I can escape to, meet new people, welcome old friends like you. Ronnie was in the other day and he said what you said, that this was just a really great space, that it's a vibe.

It started off on a vision board, from literal scratch. I've worked so hard to get here, 7 years of making something happen and now it's here, so come down and say hello"

The boutique reopens on Wednesday, I'm going to be in that day capturing photos and my pal JR Media will be recording footage. Get yourselves along and take this amazing space in for yourself, alternatively, you can share this post, but you really, definitely, need to experience it for yourself.

What a day!

1984 at the Lyceum, terrifyingly close to the world we live in. Followed by Man to Man at the Traverse, with the immensely talented Tilda Swinton. A rare presence on stage, and lovely to tell her that one of my favourite paintings is the John Byrne portrait in the National Portrait Gallery.

Was super chuffed to receive this Etsy review!

It’s always such a pleasure connecting with a like-minded music lover. It means a lot to know that my David Byrne cushion is bringing a little Talking Heads love into someone else’s home! 🧑‍🎨

If you’re as music obsessed as I am, you can check out all my music-inspired products here:

As soon as I left the house at 6:15am on Thursday for my morning commute, I just knew the sunrise was going to be a goodie. So much so that I experienced heart palpitations with excitement as I approached the Forth Rail Bridge. I wish I was joking 😂

Nature’s very own health service. Completely free, accessible to all and available every morning 🙏

Now, moving onto a different vibe for the day …Ticketmaster, give me an Oasis code!!!

Felt good to set foot back on campus in Dundee.

Enjoyed a wee dander around the V&A Dundee while I was there. One of my happy places 🧑‍🎨

I finally got around to seeing Catwalk: The Art of the Fashion Show. Highlights included seeing some Alexander McQueen pieces, and a glimpse into the sketchbooks and creative thinking behind finished works.

The Design and Disability exhibition was a real testament to the power of seeing things differently. A joyful celebration of the creativity and rich contributions of Disabled, Deaf and neurodivergent people, and the perspectives they bring to design and culture 🙏

Every woman should have a room of one’s own.

I’d like to think Virginia Woolf would approve❤️

And here, a glimpse into mine. My space to think, create and take a deep breathe 🧑‍🎨

I was so moved to receive my August Stamped Addressed Envelope Club letter through the post (thank you Tricia). Also landing on my door step was a beautiful thank you letter from Susan who I had written to this month🙏

I’ve always loved the art of letter writing. As a child, I used to find pen pals through Teletext and Shout magazine. Sadly, none of them ever lasted very long… perhaps because I was rather strict about whose turn it was to write back 😂

There’s something deeply special about putting pen to paper, taking the time to create something, and then sending it off on a journey through the post. A small offering of connection that runs very deep, travelling quietly from one life to another.

The Stamped Addressed Envelope Club (SAEC) is a monthly creative mail-swap project where participants exchange handmade, artistic bundles through the post. Many thanks to Gail for organising.

It certainly beats the usual offerings through the letterbox e.g. bills, takeaway menus and political party newsletters. A little piece of post that feels like a gift rather than something demanding my attention!

A little piece of creativity, connection and snail mail. Just the way I like it ✉️✨

Keith Flint appreciation post 🙌

First time seeing The Prodigy tonight since losing Keith Flint. It definitely felt different without him, but without a doubt, they’re still one of my favourite live acts ⚡️🔥

Left with a band tattoo and very sore feet! 🐜

Forever missed, Keith Summer Sessions

Jacob Alon, Self Esteem and Florence & the Machine and a very good friend and kindred spirit to share it all with.
