SOS Appeal: Edinburgh Hospital Midwife Seeks Public Help for Newborn Baby Hats

A midwife at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE) has issued an urgent appeal for members of the public to help provide knitted hats for newborn babies in the hospital’s Labour Ward.

Taking to social media this morning, the midwife said the ward was desperately in need of knitted hats for newborn and appealed to anyone with knitting skills who might be able to lend a hand.

In her heartfelt message, she said: “We are desperately in need of knitted hats for babies in Labour Ward at the RIE.”

She added that any assistance would be greatly appreciated, highlighting the importance of community support in helping meet the needs of newborn babies at the hospital.

Even a small contribution could make a meaningful difference to families welcoming their little ones into the world.

Colours of the hats should be neutral and once completed can be handed into the reception at the labour ward in the royal infirmary.

I am doing 10% discount on all wool/ yarn sales from Tomorrow until next Saturday. Do come along and grab a bargain.

It’s that time of year again. Our annual Yarnstravaganza starts this Saturday. As per previous years there are a few things going on. I have a selection of goody bags from one of my retailers and I have others with various bits and pieces. This year it will be a pulling a knitting needle and the ones with tickets win a prize.
