Another fab sewing workshop tonight by Sew Groovy. We offer drop in evening workshops once a month where you can bring your own project or if you need help with your machine and don’t forget there is also the weekly Tuesday morning sewing group to pop in and out of.

How amazing are these from the workshop today!!!

There’s something incredibly special about watching someone discover their own creative voice.
Today’s dot mandala workshop filled my heart with joy.
These wonderful ladies have come such a long way. They’re no longer looking to me for every colour choice or wondering what pattern they should create. They’re beginning to trust their own instincts.
Choosing their own colourways.
Playing with different patterns.
Adding their own design elements.
And, most importantly, creating pieces that feel uniquely theirs.
And this is exactly why I fecking teach.
I don’t want to create a room full of copies of my work. I want to give people the skills, confidence and space to discover what their creativity looks like.
For me, dot mandala art is so much more than putting dots onto a surface. It’s about slowing down, getting lost in the rhythm of the patterns, finding a little stillness, and allowing something beautiful to emerge, one dot at a time.
To see these ladies now making their own creative decisions, experimenting and trusting themselves makes me ridiculously happy. 🥰
Because somewhere along the way, they’ve gone from “Can I do this?” to “I wonder what happens if I try this…”
And that, right there, is the magic. 🪄
So proud of you all. Keep exploring. Keep experimenting. Keep creating.
And keep following your own dots. 🩵
