Someone called the shop this afternoon and asked for two gold number 5 balloons to be blown up and theyād collect before closingā¦
No one came to collect them.
Iām hoping itās an honest mistake and that whoever it was simply forgot. If it was you, please send me a message as I can open the shop up tomorrow for you to come and collect.
Unfortunately this has happened a few times now and helium is really expensive. I canāt afford to blow balloons up and not get anything for them. So, going forward, balloons will only be blown up once money has been taken. You can still put them aside in advance, but unless you pay in advance, they wonāt be blown up ready for you.
Itās always been a trust thing. I like to trust that people reserving things will collect, but so many times it doesnāt happen and I need to learn from this and put stricter rules in place.
My staff will not blow it up even if you say you know me (they get that a lot - I know Sandra, she does it for me etc etc).
